The ‘Universal Electronic Card’ is to provide a robust infrastructure for federal, municipal, and commercial electronic services for Russia, including health, personal verification, payments, banking applications, and many more services. What is the status of the project and what are its primary development milestones? What is the strategic importance of the initiative, and what are some of the likely resulting business models?
