The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum Press Centre provides a modern, interactive space designed to offer media representatives a comfortable place to work. The Press Centre is located in Pavilion H of the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre. SPIEF-accredited media representatives, representatives of media partners, and employees of the host broadcaster will have access to the Press Centre. A badge is required, which can be collected from designated accreditation points.

Work stations for media representatives

Media work area

Total area: 1,172 m2.

Location: Press Centre (Pavilion Н)

Capacity: 300 seats, 10-seat presidium, moderator’s podium

Work area for media representatives, offering 150 pre-equipped work stations, as well as 150 stations where users can connect their own equipment. Work stations will not be assigned to individual journalists or media organizations. Various press events will take place in the media work area throughout SPIEF, except during live broadcasts of key plenary sessions.

Media partner section

Total area: 435 m2.

Location: Press Centre (Pavilion Н)

Capacity: 120 seats


A work zone for SPIEF media partners only. This area is designed for 120 pre-equipped work stations assigned to media organizations in accordance with partnership agreements in place.

Entry to the media partner section requires a pass which can be obtained from the senior administrator. The pass is valid for the duration of SPIEF.

Please note: live broadcasts of the Forum plenary session, as well as other key events, have been arranged in the media work areas.

Spaces for press events

In order to ensure a comfortable working environment for media representatives, aside from the media work area, the Forum venue will also have spaces available for press conferences, briefings, and signing ceremonies, as well as interview rooms and live media stands.

Signing ceremony rooms H1 and H2


Location: Press Centre (Pavilion Н)

Capacity: 70 seats, 8-seat presidium

It will be possible to book now-customary protocol and administrative support services for agreement signing ceremonies at any venue within the Forum Press Centre provided by the SPIEF Organizing Committee for press events (press conferences, briefings, agreement signing ceremonies, interviews, and press access events).

Information services

Information and Services Centre

The Press Centre (ExpoForum Pavilion H) features Information and Services Centres where you will find information regarding access to Forum events, changes to the programme, lists of services offered, announcements of press events, and other information, both in Russian and in English. In the event of any technical difficulties with Press Centre equipment or your own personal equipment, please contact our Technical Support Service.

Distribution of press releases

Press releases and announcements of press events will be posted on the official SPIEF website under Press Events Programme in the Media section, and will also be available at the information stand at the Press Centre entrance near the Information and Services Centre, as well as in the television and radio area of the International Broadcasting Centre. All materials will be available in both Russian and English.

Press event schedule

At the end of May 2017, the Press Events Programme will be posted on www.forumspb.com in the Media section. The programme will list the location, time, topic, and announcements of press conferences, briefings, and signing ceremonies planned by Forum participants at the Forum venue. This service will help you plan your time at the Forum.


Free Wi-Fi Internet access will be provided throughout the Press Centre. The network name is Roscongress. The password is spief2017.

Public address system

This system will keep you informed of the time and location of all major SPIEF press events. This service is available in the Press Centre and in the media dining area.

Interview Rooms

Location: Press Centre (Pavilion Н)

Area: 39 m2.

Equipment: sofa, easy chair, coffee table, 12 chairs, cooler

A separate space for conducting individual interviews with St. Petersburg International Economic Forum participants. The maximum time allowed for any one interview is 45 minutes.

Purpose: communication between participants in the official programme and media representatives. Live media stands are decorated in SPIEF style and equipped with sound amplification systems.


Broadcasting of SPIEF events

Live broadcasts of all Forum events

Live broadcasts of the Forum plenary session and other key events will be shown on screens in the Press Centre (and in the media work area, media partner section, and dining areas).

Portable radio receivers for simultaneous interpreting will be handed out to media representatives at the event entrance in exchange for a business card or press pass.

Broadcast of Forum sessions and coverage on various TV channels

Broadcasts will be shown on Broadcast Pro flat-screen televisions located in all pavilions used by the Forum. They will feature live broadcasts of events and TV coverage by major Russian and international channels.

Online broadcasts on the Forum website

All events in the Forum business programme will be available for viewing online in real time on the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum website, www.forumspb.com.

SPIEF 2017 Information TV

For the convenience of media representatives, Broadcast Pro flat-screen TVs will be available in the Press Centre to allow you to watch live broadcasts of Forum events, as well as:

  • Announcements regarding Forum business programme events
  • Announcements regarding the cultural programme
  • The SPIEF Index project presented by SPIEF and EY. The SPIEF Index is a graphical representation of online interest in Forum topics. The automatic system analyses in real time the intensity of discussions around key topics on social networks, blogs, and online media sites in Russian and English
  • The SPIEF Channel. A project presented by SPIEF and PwC featuring interviews with senior managers from major Russian and international companies, government officials, and politicians on current economic issues
  • The TASS Window is a collection of slide shows lasting between three and five minutes. Each slide features a photograph and text highlighting major news stories reported by ITAR TASS
  • SPIEF Points of View, presented jointly with PwC, shows dynamic, real-time results of polls being conducted among Forum participants on current economic issues
