The executives of investment funds that manage assets worth approximately USD 10 trillion will come to Russia to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin during the upcoming St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2017), Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) CEO Kirill Dmitriev told the Rossiya 24 television channel in an interview.
“We are seeing very significant interest in Russia. This interest is growing because the Russian economy is growing”, he noted.
“Investors who manage funds worth USD 10 trillion have already confirmed they will be attending for a meeting with President Vladimir Putin that is planned at the upcoming St. Petersburg International Economic Forum”, Dmitriev said.
He noted that “leading investors from all countries of the Middle East, Asia and several other continents will be there. This shows that investment interest in Russia is truly growing”.
The 2017 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will take place on June 1–3, 2017 in St. Petersburg.
