Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited representatives of global business, social, and political circles to take part in Russia’s biggest economic forums – the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in June and the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok in September.
Speaking at the opening of the ‘One Belt, One Road’ international forum in Beijing, the Russian president noted that the ideas and initiatives from the event’s participants need to be further discussed.
“Of course, we are prepared to take part in such discussions. I would like to invite representatives from the political sphere, public circles, and business circles to visit Russia this June as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and this September for the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok”, Putin said to the audience.
SPIEF 2017 will take place in St. Petersburg on June 1–3 and will be attended by UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Austrian Federal Chancellor Christian Kern, among others. EEF 2017 will take place on September 6–7.
