More Than 400 People Take Part in ROSCONGRESS SPIEF RACE

The opening day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum kicked off with the ROSCONGRESS SPIEF RACE. More than 400 Forum participants, accredited journalists, and members of the World Class fitness club network lined up at 7:00 a.m. to run five kilometres past the sights of the northern capital: St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the Winter Palace, Marble Palace, Field of Mars, Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, and Nevsky Prospect.

Three-time Olympic champion in Greco-Roman wrestling and Hero of Russia Alexander Karelin fired the starting shot. Acting Kursk Region Governor Roman Starovoit, VEBVENTURES CEO Oleg Teplov, Transneft Vice President Sergey Andronov, Rosseti CEO Pavel Livinsky, Carlsberg Group CEO and President Cees’t Hart, and EKA Fuel Company President Yekaterina Borodina, and other members of the business elite took part in the race. Moreover, many companies, including the Roscongress Foundation, were represented at the race by entire teams.

As in the first race in 2016, Onexim CEO Dmitry Razumov, who is recorded in the World Class club standings, came in first (time – 18:01). Among SPIEF participants, the winners were Sogaz Executive Director Ivan Komandny (18:08) and Power of Nature representative Polina Kondrashova (18:45). In the media standings, the fastest runners were Ricardo Pessarossi (Sputnik Italy) and Svetlana Vlasova (Siberian Character). Roscongress Foundation Deputy CEO Georgy Bryusov, World Class Director Olga Slutsker, VEBVENTURES CEO Oleg Teplov, 2018 Ice Hockey Championship winner Vyacheslav Voynov, and two-time Gagarin Ice Hockey Cup winner Andrey Kuteykin took part in the awards ceremony.
