Russian Tsars: Romanov Dynasty

This is the Russian premiere of a unique exhibition organized by the Dolls Museum of Anastasia Chizhova Gallery with support of the Culture Committee, Government of St. Petersburg, showing a collection of original porcelain dolls representing members of the famous imperial dynasty which will mark its 400th anniversary in 2013. The life of most members of the Romanov House are closely related to European royal dynasties and prominent families.

Duran Duran is an English music group created in 1978. In the 1980s they became “new romanticist” of the British stage. For their 30 years-long career they have released 12 albums and sold more than 70 million records around the world. In the early 90s, the band had reemerged on stage. Their music is still loved by many people. The Forum participants, residents and visitors of St. Petersburg will have an opportunity to enjoy the performance of this splendid band. Anastacia, an American Pop singer and author, whose albums and songs had been repeatedly awarded Platinum Status.

Performance at the Mikhailovsky Theatre of Aram Khachaturyan's ballet, "Spartacus", directed by Georgy Kovtun.

Kovtun, who created a new ballet basing on his own libretto, will present to the public his version of the event that had been taking place in Roman Empire in I century BC. Besides unexpected turns of the plot, the choreographer introduces new names and characters to the audience. Richness and effeminacy of Roman nobility is highlighted by unique decorations designed by Viacheslav Okunev.

Several hundred different costumes have been created specially for this ballet, and there is one further unique feature of this production, with the soloists having to contend with serious opponents in the form of real tigresses.
