Since joining McKinsey in 1998, Yermolai has developed wide experience in strategy development, operations and sales improvements, and organizational and governance system transformation for companies in the metallurgy, oil and gas, aircraft, and transportation sectors. He takes an active part in projects related to municipal and regional infrastructure development , as well as healthcare system improvement efforts aimed at improving the quality of services provided by healthcare institutions. Yermolai is a leader of McKinsey EMEA Metals & Mining Practice and a co-leader of McKinsey’s EMEA Oil & Gas Practice. He is a member of our global Travel, Infrastructure, and Logistics Practice and takes an active part in international projects to develop new approaches to operations improvements for companies in the raw materials sector.Yermolai is a also a co-leader of McKinsey’s Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals and Medical Products practices in Europe. Before joining McKinsey, Yermolai spent several years working in China and Taiwan and, later, as a consultant at the World Bank in Washington DC.

In 1981, Igor Borovikov entered Lomonosov Moscow State University, the faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics. In 1986, he graduated from Moscow State University and started postgraduate studies. From 1989 to 1992, he worked in the system of the Academy of Science of Russia and became a candidate of physical and mathematical sciences. He is the author of more than 30 scientific papers. Since 1993, he has been the General Director of Softline, and since 2008 – the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Under his management Softline became a global IT company, with representative offices in more than 20 countries of the world, gained its leading position in the area of implementation of comprehensive IT solutions and delivery of related services – IT education, consulting, legal and technical support, IT outsourcing in Russia. Since 2009, Igor Borovikov has been a member of the Presidium of the All-Russian Non-governmental Organization of Small and Medium Businesses OPORA RUSSIA, the Head of the Committee for Information Technologies. In 2010 he was included in the top 25 most successful and efficient business managers in the years 2008-2009 within the framework of the fifth project “The best managers of Russian IT companies” arranged by the editorial office of CRN/RE. His hobbies are philosophy, psychology, mountain skiing, and hockey.

Alexander Galitsky is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Almaz Capital Partners. Almaz Capital Partners has offices in Moscow, Russia and Menlo Park, CA, and is backed by Cisco Systems, EBRD and IFC. He is a well-known innovator, entrepreneur and investor in Russia/CIS, Europe and the USA. Prior to Almaz, Alexander formed the ICT investment practice at Russian Technologies, one of the first venture capital funds in Russia, and made a several private successful investments. His past and current investments include: Parallels, Yandex, QIK (sold to Skype), Vyatta (sold to Brocade), Acumatica, Jelastic, NavMaps (sold to TeleAtlas), 2Can, Alawar, AlterGeo, SJLabs (sold to VocalTec), EverNote, GridGain, WikiMart, etc.Prior to his investment career, he founded and headed five successful high-tech companies as CEO, including ELVIS+, TrustWorks Systems (sold to Hamsard), EzWIM (sold to TMT Ventures), ELVIS Telecom (sold to Telenor), NPC ELVIS. He specialized in WiFi, Virtual Private Network technology and product development on the Global market in partnership with Sun Microsystems and was a pioneer of the Russian Internet industry in 90s.

Alexander Dynkin, Director of Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO) RAS, Academician, Dr. of Science (Economics), Academician Secretary of the Division for Global Issues and International Relations of RAS, Member of the Presidium of RAS. A. Dynkin is a Member of the Presidium of the Presidential Council for Science and Education, the Economic Council under President of the Russian Federation, the Presidential Commission for Strategic Development of the Fuel and Energy Sector and Environment Security, the Scientific Council of the RF Security Council, the Russian Foreign Minister’s Scientific Council. Dmitry Peskov was born in Voronezh in 1975. In 1998 graduated from Voronezh State University. In 1999 received an MA in political science from the University of Manchester. Since 2000 worked at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, was responsible for university development strategy. Left the university at the position of the Innovations Director, Deputy Vice-President on science. In 2008 created Metaver, a company that designs new education forms on the suture of education and venture economics. In 2009 became head of Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy. In 2011 became the Director on Young Professionals Direction at Agency for Strategic Initiatives. Member-Expert Council of Government of Russia. Member of the board of trustees of the agency on professional development WorldSkills Russia. Member of the council of Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs on development of young, innovative and small entrepreneurial activity. Head of the work group on Best Professional Practices Support at the Presidential Professional Qualifications Council. Member of the commission on 2020 Innovation Strategy implementation. Jean-Philippe Platteau is Professor Emeritus at the University of Namur (Belgium), and an active member of the Centre for Research in Economic Development (CRED) which he founded at the same university. He has also co-founded and chaired the European Development Network (EUDN). Presently, he is the Academic Director of the Project on Gender and Development at the World Institute of Development Economics Research (WIDER) of the United Nations at Helsinki, and, together with François Bourguignon of the Paris School of Economics (PSE), he is the academic leader of the Project Economic Development and Institutions (EDI), financed by DFID, the British Agency for Development Cooperation. Professor Platteau is the author of several books, including Halting Degradation of Natural Resources – Is There a Role for Rural Communities? (Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1995) with J.M. Baland, Institutions, Social Norms, and Economic Development (Harwood Publishers and Routledge, London, 2000), Culture and Development: New Insights into an Old Debate (Routledge, London, 2010). He also has a book forthcoming at Cambridge University Press, entitled Is Islam a Special Problem? Exploring the Link Between Religion, Politics, and Development. He has published widely in journals such as the Journal of Development Economics, the Journal of Economic Behaviour and Organization, Economic Development and Cultural Change and World Development and is active as referee for numerous other journals. His main research area is development economics and the economics of institutions.
