Zvenigorod Armoury’ exhibition of archaeological discoveries

The ‘Zvenigorod Armoury’ exhibition of archaeological discoveries has been curated using items excavated at the Central Ring Road construction site near the town of Zvenigorod, in Moscow Region. Among the exhibits, there are a large number of wonderfully preserved items illustrating religious devotion, daily customs and habits, and armaments. The crowning glory of the collection are the unique military helmets belonging to Ivan the Terrible’s ‘hand-picked thousand’, his corps of elite troops in sixteenth century Russia. Guests and participants of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will be able to see these incredibly rare discoveries during the period May 31 to June 3, 2017.

The exhibition is located in pavilion H, in front of the entrance to the Governors’ Club.

Guided tour of Presidential Library: Bringing Together Past and Future
Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library 3, Senatskaya Ploshchad

The Library is located in the heart of St. Petersburg, on Senatskaya Ploshchad, opposite the Bronze Horseman. Visitors will have an opportunity to spend time in the refurbished interiors of the Synod building, built by Carlo Rossi, to take in an exhibition on the history of the building, and to see unique documents from the repositories of the first national electronic library in Russia. Guided tours will take place twice daily, at 16:00 and 19:00. Groups should assemble and participants meet their guides in the main foyer of the Presidential Library.

Petergof fountain unveiling ceremony

Created by the best architects, the Peterhof fountains form a UNESCO World Heritage complex and symbolise Russia's cultural splendour. The water cascades are music brought to life; they embody the Renaissance, Baroque, and Classicism eras.

The project to restore the city fountain at its original site, in Peterhof's Market Square, is another contribution by Sberbank to the all-important restoration of cultural heritage sites across the country.

The modern musical fountain will complement the list of Peterhof's landmark sites as another centre of attraction for local residents and visitors alike.

19:00–19:45 – the solemn opening ceremony in the garden square outside the Peter and Paul Cathedral.

22:00–23:00 – a multimedia music show and fireworks by the Olga Pond.

Gala concert

This concert opens the Year Against Melanoma initiative, whose primary goal is to attract wide public attention to melanoma in a bid to dramatically increase awareness among the population and medical professionals about how the disease can be prevented and treated.

The performance will feature ballet stars such as Denis Rodkin, Nikolai Tsiskaridze (Bolshoi Theatre), Irina Perren, and Marat Shemiunov (Mikhailovsky Theatre).

Grand opening of the St. Petersburg Palaces International Music Festival
Armorial Hall, Winter Palace, State Hermitage Museum, 2, Dvortsovaya Ploshchad

A concert performance of Pietro Mascagni’s Cavalleria rusticana, featuring a 120-strong choir including world opera stars. The lead soloists will be the magnificent soprano Chiara Taigi, the last pupil of Renata Tebaldi and favourite singer of the Pope, and the renowned Spanish tenor Sergio Escobar. The Taurida International Symphony Orchestra will perform under the baton of leading contemporary conductor Marco Guidarini.

Welcome cocktail hosted by the Chairman of the SPIEF 2017 Organizing Committee

Guests will include Russian and foreign statesmen, key speakers and moderators from the Forum, and heads of major corporations. The programme will feature popular jazz and pop performances by vocal and instrumental groups.

Charity battle FRIENDS–FUN–ROCK’N’ROLL

The event will have a true rock festival atmosphere; the country’s principal financiers will take to the stage, with charity as their goal. This is an event for philanthropists who really know how to relax. An entire constellation of business and arts stars will take part in the Charity Battle. Ivan Streshinsky, Vladimir Zhelonkin, Dmitry Razumov, Igor Kamenskoy, Alain Crevet, and others will appear at the event as musicians. Charity will be the responsibility of Alexander Rappoport, Aram Mnatsakanov, Uliyana Sergeyenko, Isaac Correa, Ksenia Rappoport, and others. From start to finish, the event will be hosted by Ivan Irgant, Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
