A Memorandum of understanding regarding the preparation and organization of the 2019 Global Manufacturing and Industrialization Summit (GMIS-2019) in the Russian Federation is signed between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Energy and Industry of the United Arab Emirates, the Government of the Sverdlovsk region, the Organizing Committee of the Global Manufacturing and Industrialization Summit, the United Nations Industry Development Organization and the Roscongress Foundation.
The Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit (GMIS) was established in 2015 as a platform to build bridges between manufacturers, governments and NGOs, technologists, and investors in harnessing the Fourth Industrial Revolution’s potential to the regeneration of the global economy. A joint initiative by the United Arab Emirates and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), GMIS is a platform that presents the manufacturing sector with an opportunity to contribute towards the global good.
