He is the author/editor of several widely acclaimed textbooks, notably Introducing Palliative Care and the Palliative Care Formulary. He has taught in nearly 50 countries, and has received numerous awards from professional organizations.

Born in Moscow on May 11, 1977.
In 1994 Nyuta Federmesser graduated from a specialized foreign language school (English) with a Silver Medal.
In 1995 - 1997 she studied English at Cambridge University.
She is a graduate of Maurice Thorez Moscow State Institute of Foreign Languages, Pedagogical Department (2000).
In 2013, Nyuta Federmesser completed the graduate program "Management in Healthcare" at I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University.
She has volunteered at Russian and British hospices since age 17.

Nyuta Federmesser is the founder of VERA Hospice Charity Fund (2006). Currently, VERA supports the Center for Palliative Medicine and 8 hospices in Moscow, as well as over 60 hospices in other regions of Russia. The Fund provides help for families with incurable children in Moscow, the Moscow Region, and other regions in Russia (over 350 families in total). It is currently building the "Lighthouse" - the first hospice for children in Moscow, simultaneously providing training for hospice employees, informing the society about the objectives and goals of hospice care, initiating and supporting changes in legislation that benefit the rights of terminally ill patients.

On April 25, 2016 Anna K. Federmesser was appointed Director of the State Budgetary Public Healthcare Facility "Center for Palliative Care", Healthcare Department of Moscow. Since this time, a structure has been formed that unites 8 hospices, 4 departments for palliative care and 9 homecare service providers for patients. Over 2,000 patients receive help every month. Furthermore, norms, standards and procedures for providing palliative care are constantly being developed.
