Management and Governance in Design

06 Jun , 14:30–15:30
passage in zone C, Russian Design Space

Determining the position of design in business is one of the key issues for the expert and business community.
There is a growing need for designers regardless of the industry: the experience of the largest market players has shown that investment in design generates profit several times faster. At the same time, companies face a shortage of management personnel, lack of competences and experience in cross-sector interaction.

The experts will focus on how to create human resources potential for competences that do not yet exist on the market and how to introduce the position of chief designer in Russian enterprises.

What competencies should a manager possess when implementing design projects?
How effective are collaborations between designers and managers?
Is the education market ready to respond to the emerging need for managerial staff in design?
