Arctic Day

06 Jun , 09:00–13:30
pavilion F, VEB.RF exhibition stand

Unleashing the potential of the Arctic region is an undeniable priority for Russia. The strengthening of the energy potential of our country, the expansion of logistics capabilities, and ensuring national security and defence are largely associated with this region. However, the key objective of the government is to improve the quality of life of people living in the region. To this end, under the instructions of the President of Russia, master plans are being developed for the cities of the Arctic zone. These documents represent a full-fledged strategy and economic model for the settlements of the region. The projects included in the master plans will become a catalyst both for the local and nationwide economic development. However, their implementation will require significant investments and analysts consider that public-private partnerships are the optimal financing model. VEB.RF, together with the Ministry of Development of the Far East and Arctic and the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, will hold a series of investment presentations with the participation of governors and heads of the regions of the Arctic zone. They will present key investment projects from the master plans to potential investors. Together with experts, the prospects for the development of Arctic cities and transport hubs, as well as the fine-tuning of government support instruments, will be discussed.
