The Bioeconomy: Innovation and Bioproduction
Dynamically developing innovations in biotechnology and bioproduction, which are used in a wide range of economic areas, create a sustainable bioeconomy and act as a necessary condition for achieving the country’s independence in important areas which enable society to sustain itself. Despite the fact that the scientific and technological sphere attracts funding from a wide range of clients, including state corporations and organizations from the real sector of the economy, the rate of development of biotechnology and innovations in this area is insufficient to meet the needs of the market. The development of systemic support measures may enable us to overcome the associated and inter-sectoral barriers that slow down the progress of innovations and knowledge-intensive solutions. At the same time, selecting priority areas for progressing innovations in biotechnology and bioproduction is a prerequisite for the creation of a sustainable bioeconomy, and also determines priorities in this area in order to achieve scientific advances and promising developments. This session is intended to support the dialogue between young scientists and representatives of companies from the real sector of the economy on promising and knowledge-intensive areas of work, and projects that will equip the economy and social sphere with the most up-to-date developments and products.
