Christopher is a co-founder of Trusted Sources. He is a highly experienced commentator on Russian political and economic affairs and leads our Russia/FSU team, concentrating on macro policy, governance and institutions, infrastructure, consumer product markets (especially food-related, from upstream production to retail), the energy and financial services sectors. Previously, Christopher spent six years as chief strategist and political analyst at United Financial Group (UFG), a Moscow-based investment bank now owned by Deutsche Bank. In several surveys of fund managers conducted during this period by Institutional Investor and Thomson Extel, he was ranked No. 1 EMEA Strategist and/or Analyst on Russia. Christopher joined UFG from Fleming-UCB, where since 1995 he had held the position of managing director and head of research. Prior to that, he was a UK diplomat, and served for four years in the Political Section of the British Embassy in Moscow. Christopher has a Master’s degree in modern history and modern languages from Oxford University and was a fellow of All Souls College, Oxford.

Madam Ninh served her country as a diplomat for more than two decades, specializing in multilateral institutions (UN, Non-Aligned Movement, Francophonie, ASEAN) and global issues (international peace and security, development, environment, governance, and human rights). From 2000 to 2003, she was Ambassador and Head of Mission to the EU in Brussels, then, in 2007, Vice-Chair of Viet Nam’s 11th National Assembly’s Foreign Affairs Committee. In her capacity as a diplomat, an elected official and, today, an educational entrepreneur regularly invited to address international gatherings inside and outside Viet Nam, Madame Ninh has consistently worked to build bridges of understanding and cooperation between Viet Nam and the world. In her current undertaking at Tri Viet Institute, Madam Ninh's leadership draws upon her European education, her first calling as an academic at the Sorbonne in Paris, her rich international experience and her lifelong commitment to Viet Nam. Madam Ninh is actively engaged in gender advancement and post-war legacy issues, such as rapprochement with the Vietnamese diaspora, and the impact of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Viet Nam.
