FRANCHISING: A NATIONAL PRIORITY IN THE GLOBAL CONTEXT

Pavilion 8, Conference Hall 8.3

As the global economy recovers, franchising is taking an increasingly important role in increasing investment, creating new businesses and helping to create an expanding class of new entrepreneurs as they gain access to new technologies and modern production and management techniques. Franchising significantly lowers risks for start-up companies, making it possible to attract broad sections of customers and more efficiently spend allocated capital for business development.

1) What can major franchise chains offer to national business partners, and is there ‘a place under the sun’ for local brands in developing nations?
2) Is franchising altering consumer culture and service standards, and what will the consumer market in medical and educational services look like in the near future as a result?
3) How can franchising be used most effectively to build modern infrastructure in the consumer market, as well as in healthcare and educational services as part of the EurAsEC Common Economic Space?
