Prior to becoming CEO of RDIF in 2011, Kirill Dmitriev headed a number of large private equity funds and completed a series of landmark transactions, including the sale of Delta Bank to General Electric, Delta Credit Bank to Société Générale, STS Media to Fidelity Investments, etc. At the beginning of his career he worked at Goldman Sachs and McKinsey & Company. He is Deputy Chairman of the Investment Council under the Chairman of the State Duma of Russia, Vice President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and was appointed by the President of Russia as a member of the BRICS and the APEC business councils; he also was selected as ‘Young Global Leader’ by the World Economic Forum. He serves as a member of the boards of directors of Rostelecom, Gazprombank, MDMG, Russian Railways and a member of the boards of trustees of the Mariinsky Theatre and Moscow State University. In 2011 he was the only Russian representative in the list of ‘100 most influential private equity professionals of the decade’ (Private Equity International). He holds a BA in Economics with Honors and Distinction from Stanford University and an MBA with High Distinction (Baker Scholar) from the Harvard Business School.

Chrystia Freeland was appointed Managing Director and Editor, Consumer News, in January 2013. In this role, Freeland has editorial and commercial control of the company’s consumer online, mobile and digital properties including Reuters.com and its global suite of websites, as well as mobile news applications. Previously, she was appointed editor of Thomson Reuters Digital in April 2011. In 2010, she joined the company as Reuters global editor-at-large. Before joining Thomson Reuters, Freeland served as the US managing editor of the Financial Times where she led the editorial development of the paper’s US edition and of US news on FT.com. She also held positions within the company including, editor of the FT’s Weekend edition, editor of FT.com, UK News editor, Moscow bureau chief and Eastern Europe correspondent. From 1999 to 2001, Freeland served as deputy editor of The Globe and Mail, Canada’s national newspaper. She began her career working as a stringer in Ukraine, writing for the Financial Times, The Washington Post and The Economist.

Chris is co-CEO of the Goldman Sachs Russia/CIS business. Prior to this, Chris was co-head of the European Financial Institutions Group (FIG) from 2001 to 2003. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1993 and was initially based in the Frankfurt Investment Banking Division before moving to Debt Capital Markets. He moved to London in 1996 and joined the Fixed Income Division in the Derivatives Structuring and Marketing Group with responsibilities in the UK, France and Scandinavia. In 1999, Chris formed the Insurance Focus Group within FICC Sales and Derivatives Structuring, which was later transformed into the European Pension and Insurance Strategy Group (PISG). With the formation of the Financing Group in 2003, Chris moved with PISG into the Investment Banking Division, and joined the leadership of FIG. Chris became a managing director in 2000 and partner in 2004. Chris earned a B.S. in Physics from Brown University in 1990 and an M.Sc. in Physics from Harvard University in 1993.

Mr. Jennings is responsible for the overall strategic direction of Renaissance Group and its companies: Renaissance Capital, Renaissance Asset Managers, Renaissance Credit, Renaissance Partners, and Renaissance Advisors. The Firm, under Mr. Jennings’ leadership for more than 15 years, has expanded its geographies to become a leading investor in emerging and frontier market economies, with a focus on Russia/CIS, Africa and Asia. Mr. Jennings provides the vision for Renaissance's new market architecture, which has positioned the Firm to capitalise on the fundamental shift of financial opportunity from developed markets to emerging markets. Prior to establishing Renaissance Capital, Mr. Jennings served as Co-Head of Credit Suisse First Boston in Moscow (CSFB) from 1992 to 1995. Before coming to Russia in 1992, Mr. Jennings was with CSFB in London. Prior to that, he worked for CSFB and the Treasury in New Zealand, advising the New Zealand and Australian governments. Mr. Jennings earned his bachelor's degree in Business Studies at Massey University and holds an M. Phil. in Economics with first-class honours from the University of Auckland.

Supports companies in the metals and mining, oil and gas, aircraft, and travel sectors, helping clients to improve strategy, operations and sales, as well as leading organization and governance transformations. Since joining McKinsey in 1998, Yermolai has developed wide experience in strategy development, operations and sales improvements, and organizational and governance system transformation for companies in the metallurgy, oil and gas, aircraft, and transportation sectors. He takes an active part in projects related to municipal and regional infrastructure development , as well as healthcare system improvement efforts aimed at improving the quality of services provided by healthcare institutions. Yermolai is a leader of McKinsey EMEA Metals & Mining Practice and a co-leader of McKinsey’s EMEA Oil & Gas Practice. He is a member of our global Travel, Infrastructure, and Logistics Practice and takes an active part in international projects to develop new approaches to operations improvements for companies in the raw materials sector.Yermolai is a also a co-leader of McKinsey’s Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals and Medical Products practices in Europe. Before joining McKinsey, Yermolai spent several years working in China and Taiwan and, later, as a consultant at the World Bank in Washington DC.

Elena earned a degree in Economics from Moscow State University and an MBA from Kellogg Business School. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley as a Managing Director in 2006, Elena was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs and President of Goldman Sachs (AO) LLC, a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs Group responsible for its business in Russia and the CIS. In 1994 Elena joined Goldman Sachs in New York where she worked in Capital Markets and Derivatives groups. Later on she moved to London where she joined Investment Banking Division. In 1998, Elena was appointed Head of Goldman Sachs’ Moscow office. Elena joined Morgan Stanley as the First Deputy Chairman of Executive Board of Morgan Stanley in Russia/CIS and Head of Investment Banking in the region. She worked in this position till April 2009, when she was appointed President and Chairperson of Executive Board of Morgan Stanley in Russia. She is Director of the Board of Directors of Sovcomflot, one of the world’s largest shipping companies. She also served as Chairperson and Director of the Board of Directors of City Mortgage Bank. In 2004–2006, Elena served as Director of the Board of Directors of SUEK, Russia’s largest coal company.
