With two decades of journalism under his belt at Bloomberg Television and CNN, Ryan Chilcote's been an eyewitness to many of the biggest stories of our time. Thanks to his unique background spanning general and financial news, Chilcote is as at home interviewing world leaders and politicians at the World Economic Forum in Davos as he is reporting from the world's front lines. Ryan has received several awards for his work. Among them: an Emmy nomination for Best Story in a Regularly Scheduled Newscast from the National Academy for Television Arts & Sciences, a New York Film Festival World Medal, a Clarion Award, and a nomination at the Prix Bayeux Competition for War Correspondents. Chilcote's relentless reporting has taken him from the United States throughout the whole of Europe, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, South Africa, Sudan, Kenya and Iceland. After graduating from the University of California in 1995, Chilcote moved to Russia where he worked for CNN and traveled extensively throughout the former Soviet Union. In 2007, he moved to the United Kingdom to join Bloomberg.

Peter Derby is currently a private investor managing personal funds invested in real estate and the capital markets. After founding Troika Dialog in 1991, he served as President and CEO of the company from 1991 to 1996 and Chairman from 1996 to 1997. He served as DialogBank’s first CFO in 1990, and was then elected President and CEO from 1991 to 1997 and Chairman from 1997 to 1998. He was a founding member of the Board of MICEX and of the Expert Council for the Federal Commission on Securities of the Russian Federation. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce, Russia; a member of the Antimonopoly Committee for the Protection of Consumer Rights; a member of the Hard Currency Controls and Regulations Committee of the Central Bank of Russia; and a member of the Finance Ministry’s Capital Markets Committee. Mr. Derby earned his B.A. in 1983 from New York University, where he majored in accounting, finance, and international finance.

Prior to becoming CEO of RDIF in 2011, Kirill Dmitriev headed a number of large private equity funds and completed a series of landmark transactions, including the sale of Delta Bank to General Electric, Delta Credit Bank to Société Générale, STS Media to Fidelity Investments, etc. At the beginning of his career he worked at Goldman Sachs and McKinsey & Company. He is Deputy Chairman of the Investment Council under the Chairman of the State Duma of Russia, Vice President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and was appointed by the President of Russia as a member of the BRICS and the APEC business councils; he also was selected as ‘Young Global Leader’ by the World Economic Forum. He serves as a member of the boards of directors of Rostelecom, Gazprombank, MDMG, Russian Railways and a member of the boards of trustees of the Mariinsky Theatre and Moscow State University. In 2011 he was the only Russian representative in the list of ‘100 most influential private equity professionals of the decade’ (Private Equity International). He holds a BA in Economics with Honors and Distinction from Stanford University and an MBA with High Distinction (Baker Scholar) from the Harvard Business School.

Carsten Kengeter was appointed Chairman and CEO of the Investment Bank in November 2010, after having been appointed its co-CEO in April 2009, when he became a member for the GEB. He joined UBS in December 2008, and served as the joint Global Head of Fixed Income, Currencies & Commodities (FICC) of the Investment Bank until January 2010. He has been on the Governing Board of UBS Limited since March 2009. Mr. Kengeter worked for Goldman Sachs as the co-Head of Asia (ex-Japan) Securities division in Hong Kong since 2006. In 2003, he co-headed the European FICC and Structured Equities Distribution in London, and in 2002, he became partner and Head of the FICC German Region in Frankfurt. In 2000, he was made Head of the European and Asian Collateralized Debt Obligation business in London. From 1992 to 1997, Mr. Kengeter worked for Barclays de Zoete Wedd, and was responsible for setting up the credit derivatives trading desk. He graduated as Diplom-Betriebswirt from Fachhochschule Reutlingen, holds a bachelor’s in business administration from Middlesex University and a finance and accounting M.Sc. from the London School of Economics.

Roman Trotsenko was born in Moscow in 1970. In 1992, he graduated from the Department of Economics of the Institute of Asian and African Studies of the Lomonosov Moscow State University. In 2001, he graduated with honours from the Department of Law of the Lomonosov Moscow State University. He has a Ph.D. in Economics. Mr. Trotsenko began his career as the CFO of Medinterbirzha, and then became the Head of Platinum Bank. He has worked in the transportation sector since 1996, when he became Chairman of the Board of Directors at JSC Passenger Port. From 1997 to 2007, he was Chairman of the Board of Directors at Yuzhny Port, the Acting General Director of Project Financing for ‘General Directorate of the contracting authority for the implementation of the program to revive Russia’s merchant fleet’ under the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation. He was the head of the Moscow River Shipping Company. From 2009 to 2010, he was the General Director at Far Eastern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center. He was the Advisor to the President of Rosneft in 2013–2014, and is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors at AEON Corporation.

Mr. Shiv Khemka was educated at Eton College, received a B.A. from Brown University, an M.B.A. with distinction from The Wharton School and a Master’s in International Studies from The Lauder Institute, University of Pennsylvania. He was elected a “Global Leader for Tomorrow” (GLT) at the World Economic Forum in Davos in 1997 and was invited to join the Forum’s “Foreign Business Leaders’ Council” for Russia. He is a member of the WEF’s Global Agenda Council for Education. As one of the founders and partners, Shiv also sits on the Coordination Board of the Moscow School of Management “SKOLKOVO”. SUN Group is a leading principal investor and private equity fund manager in Russia, India and other emerging and transforming markets. The Group has been active in areas such as Mining, Oil & Gas, Real Estate, Food & Beverage, Infrastructure, HiTech and Renewable Energy. The founding shareholder of SUN is an Indian family group that has been active in India for more than 100 years and has been working in Russia since 1958. SUN is a member of the Russian Prime Minister’s Foreign Investment Advisory Council (FIAC).

Viatcheslav has 15 years of investment and financial experience with leading international institutions. During the global crisis Viatcheslav was the Advisor to the Minister of Economic Development of Russia focusing on diversification and growth initiatives, including the Russian Direct Investment Fund. Viatcheslav moved to Russia from Citigroup in New York where he was Managing Director. Prior to Citi he was Partner at Old Lane, a hedge fund sold to Citi, where he ran $1bn in global investments focused on natural resources and growing consumer. He transitioned from Third Point, a New York hedge fund, where he was Portfolio Manager, named Partner, investing $500mn in emerging markets. Earlier he was Investment Analyst at Relational Investors in San Diego and at Everest Capital in Miami. Before moving to the US he worked at the Rothschild group and AXA in Paris. Viatcheslav holds a Stanford MBA, MA with high honors in International Economics from the State Management University, and BS from the American University of Paris. He is a CFA charterholder.

Lars H. Thunell is leading IFC in its mission to promote sustainable private sector development. Since joining the Corporation in January 2006, Mr. Thunell has advanced growth of IFC's business and its mission to create opportunities in emerging markets and improve people's lives. He has visited 84 countries, including 60 developing countries, to see firsthand how IFC can best help its clients with financing and advisory services. Mr. Thunell joined IFC after a successful career in the financial services industry. Most recently, he was the CEO of SEB. In the 1990s, Mr. Thunell served as the CEO of Trygg-Hansa. As President and CEO of Securum, an asset management company established by the Swedish government, he played a key role in the government's strategy for resolving the country's banking crisis of the 1990s. He has also held numerous board positions with international companies and nongovernmental organizations. Mr. Thunell graduated with a doctorate from the University of Stockholm and was a research fellow at the Harvard University Center for International Affairs.
