Vladislav Inozemtsev (born 1968) – Director, Centre for Post-Industrial Studies, Moscow, Russia, one of the leading ideologist of the “new industrialization” of Russia. Inozemtsev was born in Nizhniy Novgorod, in 1984 upon completing secondary education in Gorki, Belorussia, entered the Economics Department of Moscow State University. He graduated from the Moscow State University with honour, where he received the Bachelor’s degree in Economics at the Economics Department (1994). In 1999 he received the Ph.D. in Economics at the Institute of the World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Since 1996 he is the founder and Science Director of the Centre for Post-Industrial Researchers. Since 2003, the Editor-in-Chief of the “Svobodnaya Mysl” Journal. From 2002 to 2006, the Chairman of the Science Advisory Board of the journal Russia in Global Affairs.

Dr. Abramov graduated from the Ben Gurion University of the Negev, where received the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and in Nuclear Engineering (1977–1981), the Master of Science (1984–1987) and the Ph.D. (1988–1991) in Materials Science and Engineering. From 1997 to 2003, Dr. Abramov is a member and Vice Chairman of the Israeli Consortium for the Development of Technology for Magnesium Alloys; 2002–2009, member of the board of the Israeli 2007, member of the board of the Israeli chapter of PMI. From 2007 to Present, he is the Chairman of the board of Sami Shamoon College of Engineering. Dr. Abramov joined the Baran Group in 2008 after a period of 33 years during which he took a central role in engineering and executive duties within the Israeli Atomic Energy Commission. Dr. Abramov has been nominated as Baran’s CEO in July 2009. Apart from his role as CEO of the Biggest Israeli Engineering firm, Abramov is active in various public roles.

GU Binglin (born 1945) – President, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, a scientist of condensed matter physics and expert of computational materials science; mainly engaged in the microstructure design of materials, especially the relations among components, structures, and properties. Gu was born in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, and graduated from Tsinghua University in 1970. He worked in Tsinghua from then on. He gained the degree of Ph.D. at Aarhus University of Denmark in 1982. Gu was engaged in the research on physics of photon-electronic materials at Notre Dame University, United States as an advanced visiting scholar in 1985–1986, and worked on materials design as a guest professor at Tohoku University, Japan in 1993–1994. Due to his achievements in science and technology, he was elected the academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1999 and a foreign member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences in 2010. Gu gained various awards, including one National Natural Science Award of China and five Science and Technology Awards by State Education Commission.

Leads McKinsey’s support in public sector organizations as well as in oil and gas, power generation, and construction companies.Professional experience:Since joining McKinsey in 1997, Vitaly has worked on client projects in Moscow, Astana, Kiev, Warsaw, Budapest, London, and New York across a wide range of industries, including oil and gas, finance, and the public sector (e.g., economic development, innovation, and education). He has led numerous transformation projects for major companies in order to help them achieve substantial financial impact and productivity growth, and to improve their competitiveness and corporate culture.Vitaly co-authored the McKinsey report “Lean Russia: Sustaining Economic Growth through Improved Productivity”.He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Bolshoi Theater. Edward Nicolae Luttwak (born 1942) – Senior associate, Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C. is an American military strategist and historian who has published works on military strategy, history and international relations. Luttwak was born in Arad, Romania, raised in Italy and England. He attended the London School of Economics and Johns Hopkins University, where he received a doctorate. His first academic post, before moving to the United States, was at the University of Bath. He became a professor at Georgetown University in 1975. He has served as a consultant to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the National Security Council, the United States Department of State and several NATO defense ministries. He was a member of the National Security Study Group of the United States Department of Defense, and an associate of the Japanese Finance Ministry’s Institute of Fiscal and Monetary Policy. In 2008, he became a Senior Advisor at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C.

Born 1963 in Barnaul, Altai Region. 1985: graduated from Altai State University in Radio Physics and Electronics. He then pursued post-graduate studies at the Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology, where he focused his research on semi-conductor production and semi-conductor based devices. 2007: Candidate of Economics, thesis on “Corporate governance in state-controlled joint stock companies”. Since 1987: has worked in various companies he set up. He established the Kaskol Group, which became one of the biggest industrial holding groups. 2012: one of the founders of STAN, a leading heavy machinery manufacturer in the country. Member of the Coordinating and General Councils of the All-Russia Public Organization Delovaya Rossiya (Business Russia), member of the Administrative Office of the Board of the All-Russia Sector Association of Employers Union of Russian Engineering Union and board member of a number of companies, including RZD JSCo and others.

Alexander Nesis (born 1962) – President and CEO, ICT Group, Moscow, Russia. In 1985, graduated from Leningrad Technological Institute with a degree in Radiation Chemistry. In 1985–1989, worked in the same field at Baltiysky Zavod. Later became a private entrepreneur and set up several companies manufacturing construction materials. In 1991, founded and managed a business entity that in 1993 was incorporated as ICT Group of companies. In 1993–1998 and 2002–2005, served as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Baltiysky Zavod. In 1998–2003, served as CEO of a mining company MNPO Polymetal, part of ICT Group. Starting from 2010 serves as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors at Uralkali. From the inception until today, Alexander Nesis has been serving as President of the Group. He is in charge of the Group’s strategic development.
