Swedish business sees Russia as having huge potential in various spheres and recognizes its strengths. Declaring a technological breakthrough as a top priority for Russia’s development is of utmost importance. Russia can rely on its outstanding human capital and quality technological education, and it has all the prerequisites to be a leading global economy. In this context, joint projects between Swedish investors and Russian partners are coming to the fore, allowing participants to boost ties and share experience in the field of innovation. The further intensification of the intergovernmental dialogue and removal of the existing obstacles to regular contacts in this sphere will be of strategic importance for developing economic ties between Russia and Sweden and ensuring a technological breakthrough. What measures are needed to support and accelerate the development of cooperation between Russia and Sweden? How can the federal government and regions further motivate Swedish companies to continue investing in Russia? How will Russia and Sweden find common growth points to enhance their cooperation?

Andreas Giallourakis has extensive experience from working in Eastern Europe. Andreas is Trade Commissioner and Country Manager at Business Sweden Russia and CIS. Before starting at Business Sweden, Andreas worked at SEB Bank in Saint Petersburg, Russia between August 2011 and March 2014.
Andreas Giallourakis has a degree in Economics and Business from the Stockholm School of Economics, and courses in Slavic Languages at the Stockholm and Uppsala Universities.
Upon graduation from SSE in June 2010, Andreas worked with Entrepreneurship within the Swedish startup community. He has been involved in several startups and has co-founded two companies. Before starting at the Stockholm School of Economics, Andreas was working in the Balkans for four years. Andreas is fluent in Serbocroatian and Russian.

Accomplishments:
Throughout his time at Volvo Russia, Mr. Corneliusson managed to maintain Volvo Trucks leadership in foreign truck sales in the country. In 2003 he oversaw the opening of VTS-Zelenograd, the country’s first foreign truck assembly plant. In 2007–2009 Mr. Corneliusson supervised the construction of the Kaluga plant, the first full-scale foreign truck production facility in Russia.
Under Mr. Corneliusson’s leadership Volvo developed the broadest service network in the country with Service Stations, Volvo Truck Centres and sales offices.
Since he started operations at Ferronordic, the company grew to the level of a nationwide supplier of machinery and services by Volvo Construction Equipment. Currently, the company has 70 divisions and over 750 employees all over Russia.

Since May 2017 Irina Panarina has been appointed to the position of General Manager of AstraZeneca, Russia and Eurasia. Irina is responsible for AstraZeneca business in Russia & Eurasia Area and she leads AstraZeneca Russia.
Irina Panarina has worked for AstraZeneca since 2009. In October 2015 Irina joined the Russian team as Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disease Business Unit Head. Before coming to Russia, Irina Panarina held the position of General Manager at AstraZeneca Ukraine.
Prior to joining AstraZeneca Irina held regional roles at GSK Pharma headquarters in London, UK.

Anatoliy Usov

Anatolij Oussov was born on July 12, 1951. In 1974 he graduated from Bauman Moscow State Technical University as а mechanical engineer.
Upon graduation from 1974 until 1986 he worked in the company "Stankoimport" of the Foreign Trade Ministry where he was responsible for purchasing of bearings from the leading western manufacturers.
From 1986 until 1991 he worked in Milan, Italy in the JSC "Stanitaliana". As а member of the Board of Directors he dealt with promotion of machine tool products, tools and bearings to the Italian market. Не also took part in establishing cooperation between Russian and the leading Italian companies and in organizing cooperation and Joint ventures.
In 1991 he was invited to SKF Group as а General Director of "SKF Service", where he was responsible for SKF business activities in CIS countries. Under Anatolij Oussov's leadership the company set up а wide network of industrial and VSM (Vehicle Service Market) distributors. Representative offices were opened in Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan, SKF branches were opened in St. Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk, Cherepovets, Ekaterinburg, Magnitogorsk, Novosibirsk (Russia), Donetzk, Mariupol, Kramatorsk (Ukraine). SKF holds а leading position in the CIS market among the western suppliers in terms of turnover and the number of services it can offer. In 2010 SKF Tver plant for manufacturing innovative railway cassette bearings (compact tapered roller bearing units) was opened in Tver Region. Also this year the first SKF Solution Factory in CIS countries was opened in Moscow.
Anatolij Oussov is not only in charge of CIS Region, he is also Managing Director of LLC “SKF”
, Managing Director of OOO ”SKF Tver”, member of Supervisory Board of OAO ”SKF Ukraine” (Lutzk bearing factory in Ukraine), which became a part of SKF Group in 1998.
Anatolij Oussov participated in different trainings in Academy of Foreign Trade, Stanford University, USA, INSEAD International Directors Program and other European companies. Не speaks English, German and Italian.
In 2016 Anatolij Oussov was awarded with the title ”Honorary Mechanical Engineer” by the order of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

Magnus Scholdtz

Senior Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Investor AB

Magnus Schöldtz is Senior Advisor at the Wallenberg Foundations AB, and a former Ambassador at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. He has served in various diplomatic functions in relation to EU and Nato and the Middle East. Ambassador Schöldtz also held positions within United Nations in Lebanon and Somalia, and the Swedish Armed Forces Headquarters. He is Senior Advisor to Mr. Jacob Wallenberg, Chairman of Investor AB; Mr. Marcus Wallenberg, Chairman of SEB, Saab AB, and FAM and to Mr. Peter Wallenberg Jr. the Chairman of Wallenberg Foundations AB, as well as to several companies in the Wallenberg sphere. He is associated with the Brookings Institution International Advisory Council, and a Member of the Trilateral Commission European Executive Board. Magnus Schöldtz is a Stanford Executive Program Alumni (2015), a graduate of Lund University in Philosophy, History, Political Science, Economics and Oriental Studies, and a Reserve Officer (Captain) in the Swedish Army.

Borje Ekholm

Börje Ekholm is President and CEO of the Ericsson Group, since January 16, 2017.
Most recently Ekholm was CEO of Patricia Industries, a division within Investor AB. Prior to assuming this position in 2015, he was President and CEO of Investor AB between 2005 and 2015. Previous positions also include Head of New Investments and President of Investor Growth Capital Inc. Ekholm has had various positions at Novare Kapital AB and McKinsey & Co Inc.
Börje Ekholm holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden, as well as a Master of Business Administration, from INSEAD, France.
He is a board member of Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson and Alibaba, Inc. Ekholm is also Member of the Board of Trustees of Choate Rosemary Hall. Since 2017, Member of the Stering Committee of the World Economic Forum Digital Communication Governors and a member of the Broadband Commission for Sustainable Development. Holds Honorary Doctorate at The Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden.

Lars Peter Elam Hakansson

Peter, one of the founding partners of East Capital, is responsible for the group’s public equity investments. Peter has been awarded the Gold Star for best Fund Manager five times by Morningstar and Sweden’s largest financial daily Dagens Industri, as well as numerous Lipper awards for the performance of the funds that he manages together with his multi-cultural teams based in Hong Kong, Dubai, Moscow and Stockholm. Prior to founding East Capital, Peter held a series of senior positions at Enskilda Securities in London, Paris and Stockholm, where his last role was Head of Equities and Global Head of Research.
