Lifelong learning and a focus on the requirements of a fast-changing world are leading to a transformation of secondary education. Schools provide people with the foundation needed for higher education and professional development. It is therefore more crucial than ever for them to be able to react quickly to emerging needs for particular practical skills. There is also a growing need for the educational process to be developed in cooperation with universities. What challenges does the education system face in this period of uncertainty? What factors should be considered when developing new educational frameworks and fresh instructional design initiatives? What international experience exists in terms of bringing school and university education into alignment, and personalizing school education?

Rector, MGIMO University

Anatoly V. Torkunov is the Rector of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University). He holds an MA and two doctoral degrees in History and Political Science.
Prof. Anatoly V. Torkunov is a leading expert on Russian foreign policy, regional subsystems in Asia-Pacific Region and North-Eastern Asia, history of Korea, history of diplomacy. He is the author of more than 200 publications, including 9 individual monographs. Several of them were published in the USA, South Korea, Japan, Poland and other countries.
Professor Torkunov also holds positions of the Chairman of the Russia-UN Association; President of the Russian International Studies Association; Member of the Academic Council at the Security Council of Russia; Member of the Board of the Russian Diplomatic Association; Chairman of the Curricula Development Association of Russian Schools of International Relations, Co-Chairman of Russian-Polish Group on Difficult Matters, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Russian Channel One.

Elena Bunina

Elena Bunina studied at the Department of Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty of Moscow State University, completed her post-graduate studies there. In 2010 became Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
Ms. Bunina joined Yandex in 2007. She founded the Data Analysis School, where she is currently head of Computer Science department. She played a key role in launching the computer science department in the Higher School of Economics, Yandex.Lyceum and other education projects.
In 2011 became Director for organizational development and personnel management of Yandex, since 2017 combines the duties with the position of CEO Yandex in Russia.

Born on 8 February 1974.
Vice-Rector for Teacher Training Programs, Secondary School and Vocational Education, Moscow State University for International Relations (MGIMO).
Led the start of a newly founded MGIMO Gorchakov lyceum as its Head Master and Principal. Gorchakov’s lyceum has marked the start of the secondary education cluster development as part of the whole university.
Most of Roman’s professional experience has been dedicated to MGIMO and is concentrated under the university’s roof. Acting member of both MGIMO and Odintsovo Branch Scientific Council, contributor to a number of World’s Educational Associations including International Association of Montessori Pedagogy, International Association of Dyslexia, and All-Russian Regional Association of Non-Governmental Educational Organizations.
Graduated from Moscow State Linguistics University, International Relations department in 1996. In 1997 completed a joint master program by Theodore Shanin School at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and Manchester University, gaining MA in Political Science. Later in 1999 resumed his post-graduate studies in the Russian Academy of Science at the Philosophy department. In 2017 continued his education at MGIMO by joining a professional development program and gaining a post-graduate diploma in field of state and municipal management. Obtained intensive international experience through a wide range of internships in Germany and USA

Back in 2012 Roman launched his own project in the area of secondary education. In the capacity of a cofounder and head master he contributed to the transformation and organization redesign of a blended learning school Nashi Penaty. Exposure to secondary education and teacher training specifics has gradually entailed shaping a new cluster of high school projects under MGIMO’s umbrella.
From 2010 to 2012 contributed to the development of the department of international educational programs under the Higher School of Economics (HSE)
From 1999 to 2010 joined the executive office of Vice-Rector for Research & Development, led the department for International and Public Relations, and taught political science.
Started teaching political science as a visiting lecturer in the Moscow State Linguistics University.

Born in 1972. Siroj Loikov graduated from the Tashkent State Economics University where he specialized in international economic relations; he also holds a business management bachelor`s degree from Nottingham Trent University (UK).
Between 1996 and 2005, he held various management positions in British American Tobacco – both at the company`s headquarters in London and its representative offices in Uzbekistan and Russia. Between 2005 and 2008, Mr. Loikov served as Human Resources Director at Leman Commodities S.A. (Ukraine); in 2008-2009 was responsible for human resources development at Metinvest Holding.
From 2009 to 2011, he worked as Human Resources Director at CJSC Russian Standard. In 2011, Siroj Loikov was appointed CJSC PhosAgro AG Human Resources Director and between 2013 and 2018 he was Human Resources Director
