Clean Games
For the first time, the SPIEF sports programme includes the Clean Games, a team competition aimed at cleaning up green spaces. Participants compete to collect and sort litter, with the chance to win prizes.
Forum participants will step outside the conference halls and engage in a joint environmental volunteering experience, thereby demonstrating their dedication to taking tangible steps towards environmental stewardship.
The event will be held as a mini-festival, featuring music, a host, a banner photo zone, a picnic and an awards ceremony.
The event will be held in compliance with all COVID-19 prevention measures.
You will be able to register for the games in your personal web office after 22 May 2023.

Simultaneous chess match with a Grandmaster using artificial intelligence
For the first time at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, there will be a simultaneous chess match using artificial intelligence.
Renowned grandmasters Sergey Karjakin and Teimour Radjabov will be challenged by 12 Forum participants, assisted by the newly developed Russian software Mendeleev Chess. Under the rules of the match, the software will guide Forum participants through every second move.
The programme, created by Karjakin and Radjabov, was created under the umbrella of Innopraktika and is powered by artificial intelligence.
The event will be held in compliance with all COVID-19 prevention measures.

Yawara-Neva – Eight-time winner of the European Club Judo Championship (2002, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2014, 2017).
Lokomotiv – Silver medal in the European Club Judo Championships – Europa League (2015).

Yawara Challenge Judo Tournament

The Yawara Challenge judo tournament will be held for the third time as part of SPIEF. One of the most titled clubs in Europe and Russia, Yawara-Neva, alongside Lokomotiv, will meet foreign clubs from friendly countries on the tatami. White Nights 2023 International Aikido Festival

Join the world of aikido and other Japanese martial arts at the White Nights Festival. It will be held for the 31st time and is already a traditional event for the Forum.At the Festival, participants will showcase their training sessions and kenjutsu and jōdō techniques.

'Come to the Table' table tennis tournament
A meeting with three-time world champion and 19-time Russian table tennis champion Maxim Shmyrev will be held at the We lodge country club at the Copper Lake. The organizers have invited experts and professionals to discuss the development of table tennis in Russia. Specifically, they have identified 10 comprehensive schools in the North-West region where the introduction of table tennis into the curriculum is planned.

The gala match will be held in the much-loved format of a clash between the two capitals, Moscow and St. Petersburg. The match will be supported by Zenit Basketball Club. Last year, the match was won by the team from the city on the River Neva, led by Zenit Football Club General Director Alexander Medvedev.
