Austrian and Belarusian Businessmen to Attend SPIEF 2017

The third Russian-Austrian-Belarusian Business Forum is taking place in Moscow. The event has been organised by the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, with the support of the Permanent Committee of the Union State.

The Forum has been attended by President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergei Katyrin, Vice President of the Federal Economic Chamber of Austria Richard Schenz, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich, State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota, Chairman of the Russian-Austrian Business Council Vladimir Artyakov and Chairman of the Austrian-Russian Business Council Helmut List.

In his speech, Sergei Katyrin stressed the importance of the contribution made by Austrian, Belarusian and Russian businessmen to creating and developing a common economic area stretching from Lisbon to Vladivostok.

The preliminary programme of the event envisages a plenary meeting and industry-specific sections on cooperation in engineering and infrastructure, innovative technologies in agriculture, energy-saving technologies in housing and communal services, and tourism.

The Forum is a platform where Russian enterprises and organisations will be able to showcase their technological achievements and innovative projects in these sectors of the economy and familiarise themselves with the best practices of their colleagues from Belarus and Austria.

Sergei Katyrin, President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, invited representatives of the business community of Austria, Belarus and Russia to take part in the forthcoming St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will be held in St Petersburg on June 1–3, 2017.
