‘Ensuring Drug Security’ Russian Pharmaceutical Forum to be held on opening day of SPIEF 2025
The 5th ‘Ensuring Drug Security’ Russian Pharmaceutical Forum will take place on 18 June, the opening day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The Forum is being organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and the Health Protection Committee of the Russian State Duma.
The ‘Ensuring Drug Security’ Forum is an annual flagship industry event that addresses key aspects of the pharmaceutical industry development strategy, taking into account the goals and objectives set by new national projects for the periods until 2030 and 2036.
“The development pace of the pharmaceutical industry should not lag behind that of medical science, which is currently demonstrating major success in a number of priority areas. Boosting citizens’ trust in domestic pharmaceutical products, which today meet the highest quality standards and are recognized internationally, remains an important issue,” Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko said.
The Forum participants will come up with recommendations and proposals to ensure Russia’s technological leadership in medicine and pharmaceuticals, support domestic pharmaceutical manufacturers, and increase trust in Russian pharmaceutical products.
During the discussions, participants will assess the effectiveness of measures taken to achieve Russia’s drug security, including in terms of uninterrupted drug supplies, and propose measures to improve the tools that are used in the interests of all the country’s citizens. The goal is to determine the further development trajectories of the pharmaceutical industry in Russia and in the world amidst the current challenges.
