Finnish company to invest more than RUB 1 billion in Leningrad Region logistics centre

The Finnish company Telko Oy is planning to inject more than RUB 1 billion into the construction of a logistics centre at the Greenstate Industrial Park in Leningrad Region. The deal was announced by the regional administration’s press service after a meeting between Governor Alexander Drozdenko and the company’s management. “Telko Oy, acting as the investor, will carry out an investment project in Leningrad Region to construct a logistics centre to handle its own paint and varnish products.

The total declared investment in the project stands at EUR 16 million”, it was announced. The foreign partners are currently concluding negotiations on the signing of a building contract. “We are thrilled that you have come to our industrial park, which we consider to be a model development. We believe that this partnership will prove to be strategically important and long-lasting. I will ensure that the relevant committees for architecture and construction oversight do not introduce too much bureaucracy into the process of issuing construction permits”, the press service quoted Drozdenko as saying. Telko Oy distributes polymers and industrial chemicals. The company has more than 100 years of experience in the industry. Its head office is located in Helsinki, and it has regional offices and warehouse complexes in 17 countries. Telko Oy and YIT St. Petersburg signed the agreement to construct a production and logistics centre at the Greenstate Industrial Park on June 18, 2015 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
