Roscongress Foundation to Promote Regional Investment Projects at Home and Abroad
The Roscongress Foundation signed agreements with constituent entities of the Russian Federation on the sidelines of the 26th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The documents call for collaborative efforts to be made to increase the investment and export attractiveness of the regions by promoting promising projects and creating tourism clusters among other things.
The Roscongress Foundation signed agreements with the Vologda and Tambov Regions. The documents were signed by Roscongress Foundation CEO and Chairman of the Board Alexander Stuglev, Governor of the Vologda Region Oleg Kuvshinnikov, and Head of the Tambov Region Maxim Egorov.
“The agreement exists primarily to create the conditions necessary to strengthen the position of regional producers on domestic and international markets. To this end, we intend to develop cooperation in organizing and holding exhibitions, fairs and congresses, business meetings, events of mutual interest within and across sectors, and contribute to the development of the economic potential of all the regions represented, using events to attract private and state investors,” Stuglev said.
In particular, the agreement calls for a series of offsite events as far afield as overseas and presentations to promote regional investment projects through the Roscongress Foundation’s partner network.
“The cooperation agreement signed with the Roscongress Foundation will help expand Vologda investment projects and give additional impetus to the development of regional companies, and participation in joint events with the Roscongress Foundation will show more investors just how attractive the Vologda Region is,” Kuvshinnikov said.
Cooperation under the agreements also calls for organizational and advisory support for investment, export, and tourism projects at the Foundation’s major congress and exhibition events in Russia and abroad, collaboration on developing an information aggregator for state business support measures, and the creation of the conditions necessary for the implementation of charitable and social projects in the regions, thus contributing to improved living standards.
