Roscongress Foundation signs memorandum of understanding with Mangold Consulting

The signing ceremony for a memorandum of understanding between the Roscongress Foundation and Mangold Consulting took place on February 7, 2017 in Moscow. The document was signed by Roscongress Foundation CEO Alexander Stuglev and Chairman of Mangold Consulting Professor Klaus Mangold. An Honorary Consul of the Russian Federation in Baden-Württemberg and the former head of the German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations, Klaus Mangold is a regular participant in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The signed document provides for cooperation in several areas as part of organizing and holding events that aim to strengthen economic ties and support friendly relations between the Russian Federation and the Federal Republic of Germany.

Both sides intend to help one another in attracting national leaders and government officials to participate in events, putting together business delegations, and providing expert assessment of the Roscongress Foundation’s event programmes on Russian–German and Russian–European issues. They also plan to also share information.

“Trade and economic relations between our countries currently have enormous potential for development. German business is demonstrating a keen interest in cooperating with companies from Russia and, similarly, our national companies want to work with German partners. Organizing meetings between representatives from the business community facilitates a direct and effective business dialogue”, said Chairman of the Board of the Roscongress Foundation Sergey Vyazalov. “We are very grateful to Professor Mangold, who has been working with our organization for more than 20 years, for his help in arranging regular meetings between Russian and German companies to sustain a comprehensive dialogue.”

As part of this collaboration, a Russian−German business meeting will be held between representatives of the Russian and German business communities on March 6, 2017 in Stuttgart (Germany). Participants will discuss a number of current issues related to the use of investment contracts as support tools for investors, import substitution and production localization, and the development of special economic zones. A visit to one of Germany’s leading companies is proposed, with a view to sharing practical experience.
