The Roscongress Foundation became the winner of the annual Russian event industry award EFEA AWARDS
The Roscongress Foundation received event industry prizes – EFEA Awards, winning in ‘Organizer of the Year’ and ‘Project of the Year – Congress’ nominations (St. Petersburg International Economic Forum). The award ceremony was held as part of the 14th Eurasian Event Forum. The winners were determined based on the analysis of publications in the Russian media, which mentioned forums, exhibitions, congresses, festivals, event organizers and event venues.
“Roscongress Foundation awards confirm the professionalism of the team, the quality of project implementation and, of course, the level of events organized. The Foundation, as the largest event organizer, has become a ‘Seal of Quality’ over the years, as evidenced by the recognition of industry experts. The event industry in Russia is developing rapidly, and I am sure that with such creative and enterprising people working in the field of event organization and their approach to business in our country will appear more and more major events of the highest level,” noted Alexander Stuglev, Chairman and CEO of the Roscongress Foundation.

- Venue of the Year – Expocentre, Moscow
- Venue of the Year. Region – Nizhegorodskaya Yarmarka, Nizhny Novgorod
- Organizer of the Year – Roscongress Foundation
- Organizer of the Year. Region – ExpoEvents, Novosibirsk
- Event of the Year – Journey to Christmas Festival, Moscow
- Event of the Year. Region – Capital of Sunsets Festival, Nizhny Novgorod
- Discovery of the Year – ‘Inventing the Future’ International Symposium, Moscow
- Discovery of the Year. Region – ‘Intourmarket Baikal’ International Tourism Exhibition, Irkutsk
Monchegorsk Development Agency was recognized with a special award ‘For Innovative Approach to Destination Promotion’. VDNKh was recognized and received a special award ‘For Contribution to Destination Development in Russia’. The special award ‘Sergey Trofimov Award for Contribution to the Development of the Event Industry’ went to ExpoForum International, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
The EFEA Awards, unofficially dubbed ‘the Oscars of the event industry’ by event industry market players and professional media, were established in 2015. Nominees and winners of the award are Russian projects and venues that have been the most successful during the year.
