Roscongress Foundation signs agreements with Russian and foreign companies

The Roscongress Foundation signed seven cooperation agreements and memorandums at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on June 2, 2017.

The Roscongress Foundation and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia laid the foundation for effective communication between Russian and Serbian experts, business, and government representatives. Roscongress Foundation Chief Executive Officer Alexander Stuglev and President of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia Marko Čadež signed the corresponding agreement on cooperation between these organizations. The document provides for cooperation within the framework of international economic forums held in Russia, including the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Eastern Economic Forum, the International Arctic Forum, the Russian Investment Forum, and others.

“The Memorandum on Cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and the Roscongress Foundation is another step toward improving economic relations between the two states. Business initiative exchange will strengthen and promote the results of Serbian companies’ work on the Russian market. At the same time, the Roscongress Foundation, as the organizer of SPIEF and many other key events attended by leading companies in Russia, supports improving relations between Russia’s business circles and Serbian partners, as well as promoting their products on third markets. Signing of the Memorandum on Cooperation affords new opportunities for more specific application of the Declaration on Strategic Partnership between Serbia and Russia, which enhances bilateral economic relations,” said Marko Čadež, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia.

“The agreement is mutually beneficial and creates new additional opportunities for the parties”, Roscongress Foundation Chief Executive Officer Alexander Stuglev said.

The companies plan to conduct a joint comprehensive analysis of the issues on the Russian and global economic agenda and create communication platforms and conditions to promote innovative projects and initiatives aimed at social and economic development and the establishment of a favourable investment climate in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Serbia.

The Roscongress Foundation and Canada Eurasia Russia Business Association (CERBA) signed a cooperation agreement. Acknowledging the importance of expanding and strengthening business relations between the Russian Federation and Canada, the parties agreed to develop common communication platforms at the international level in order to stimulate interstate interaction in various fields and to maintain a dialogue on cooperation in the investment and financial sector, export-import activities, and in tourism and cultural interaction. The agreement was signed by Roscongress Foundation Chief Executive Officer Alexander Stuglev and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Business Association in Russia and Eurasia (CERBA), Lou Naumovski.

“Canadian companies actively work on the Russian market and have participated in forums organized by the Roscongress Foundation for many years. The official partnership between Roscongress and CERBA creates the prerequisites for Canada’s more active participation and the deepening of commercial ties in the future. A more structured approach to the Canadian business community’s involvement in events organized by Roscongress will help attract more Canadian companies to business development opportunities in Russia. Such agreements strengthen and support trade, investment, and good relations between Canada and Russia”, Naumovski said.

The Roscongress Foundation and the World Economic Forum (WEF) International Organization for Public and Private Partnership signed a memorandum on cooperation. The document was signed by Roscongress Foundation Chief Executive Officer Alexander Stuglev and Member of the WEF Managing Board and Head of Regional and Government Engagement Philipp Rösler. The memorandum on cooperation provides for interaction in getting Russian leaders from various sectors involved in the systemic initiatives of the parties.

The Roscongress Foundation and Austrian Federal Economic Chamber signed an agreement on cooperation.

The Roscongress Foundation and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (CCI of Russia) signed a cooperation agreement in an effort to create effective communication between Russian expert communities as well as business and political elites through the organization and staging of convention and exhibition events. The document was signed by Roscongress Foundation Chief Executive Officer Alexander Stuglev and CCI President Sergey Katyrin. The agreement provides for consultations, roundtables, seminars and, conferences on issues concerning the socioeconomic development of the regions, support for entrepreneurship, and interaction between regional business and the government authorities.

The Roscongress Foundation and Saint Petersburg State University of Economics signed an agreement on cooperation and joint activities. The agreement was signed by Roscongress Foundation Chief Executive Officer Alexander Stuglev and Saint Petersburg State University of Economics Rector Igor Maximtsev. The parties agreed to hold joint events, involve university specialists in preparing expert opinions on the content of the Foundation’s activities as well as provide assistance in recruiting and training volunteers to work at the Foundation’s events.

An agreement on cooperation and joint activities signed by the Roscongress Foundation and Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) focuses on interaction between the parties in areas of mutual interest in the development of convention and exhibition activities in Russia’s Far East, the development of information communication, organizing and holding joint conferences, seminars, exhibitions, presentations, and meetings on themes of mutual interest as well as cooperation in education, science, and innovations. The document was signed by Roscongress Foundation Chief Executive Officer Alexander Stuglev and Acting FEFU Rector Nikita Anisimov.
