Minister of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin Invited Representatives of the UAE to SPIEF 2019
In Moscow, the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin took part in the Abu Dhabi–Moscow Investment Forum. Business leaders, investors and officials from Russia and the United Arab Emirates convened at the Forum.
In his speech, the Minister talked about the investment potential of Russia, as well as about trade and economic cooperation and joint projects with the United Arab Emirates. Maxim Oreshkin noted the importance of the relationship between the two countries, their economic cooperation not only in commodity exchange, but also in the service industry, telecommunications and IT. “The trade turnover between our countries is on the rise. It is approaching USD 5 billion. Nevertheless, there is still potential for growth here,” said the Minister, emphasizing the primary role of business in unlocking this potential.
In conclusion, the Minister invited representatives of the UAE to take part in the 23rd St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which is to take place in St. Petersburg on 6–8 June 2019.
