NFT Copies of Works by Kandinsky, Serov and Polenov to be Auctioned at SPIEF 2022

On 7 June 2022, the results of the Create The Future 2050 digital art competition were presented at a briefing on the premises of ROSIZO, the competition's partner. Over a month and a half, the organizers received 1,196 works of art from participants in 96 Russian cities. The main aim of the competition is to give artists the opportunity to display their works in the form of an NFT (Non-fungible token), and to allow all art lovers to make their first purchases. The competition is held in 7 categories: "World of wealth and prosperity," "The world of blockchain and information equality," "World of harmony and health," “Media of the future," "The world of self-knowledge and the man of the future," "Cities and corporations of a new type," and "The future world through the eyes of children."

The briefing was attended by Olga Galaktionova, the Director General of ROSIZO, Ekaterina Ivanova, the Head of the Creative Project Directorate of the Roscongress Foundation, Ruslan Musin, a representative of the Joys.space NFT platform, Maria Maryasova, the Head of the Create the Future 2050 competition, and Alexander Tkachenko, the Chairman of the Board of the Circle of Kindness Foundation, as well as other speakers.

"We are attending a historic event. This year is the 25th anniversary of SPIEF. The Forum always pays a lot of attention to culture and the arts, and we couldn't help but support the idea of the Create The Future 2050 competition. In just a month and a half, more than 1,000 works were submitted. The name of the competition underlines SPIEF's commitment to the future once again. For many people, the concepts of NFT and digital art still seem obscure. If we look back at different stages in the development of art, the new has not always been accepted by our contemporaries," said Ekaterina Ivanova, the Head of the Creative Project Directorate of the Roscongress Foundation

Works by the finalists of the Create The Future 2050 competition will be displayed in leading Russian museums and at SPIEF 2022. On 15 June, 2022, a charity auction will be held at the Lotte Hotel in St. Petersburg, where the works of the contest participants will be exhibited, alongside NFT versions of classic works of art from leading Russian museums. You can participate online at the first Russian NFT marketplace, Joys.space. The Russian Museum, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, the State Historical Museum, and the All-Russian Decorative Art Museum are among the competition's partners. The auction will feature NFT versions of works by Wassily Kandinsky, Valentin Serov, Vasily Polenov, and other artists. The proceeds from the sale of forty works will go to special programmes of the Circle of Kindness Foundation.

"The digitalization of art is inevitable and the NFT is one of the most important tools of contemporary art. ROSIZO is already working on the creation of a synthetic museum of the future," stressed ROSIZO Director General Olga Galaktionova.

The briefing revealed that 80 works had been selected, from which the jury will select 20 finalists. The jury includes Vladimir Gusev, Director of the State Russian Museum; Alexander Stuglev, Roscongress Foundation Chief Executive Officer; Vasily Tsereteli, Executive Director of the Moscow Museum of Modern Art; Elena Pronicheva, Director General of the Polytechnic Museum; Svetlana Chupsheva, Director General of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects; Olga Galaktionova, Director General of ROSIZO; Elena Shmeleva, Head of the Sirius Educational Centre; Ekaterina Ivanova, Head of the Creative Project Directorate of the Roscongress Foundation, and others. The competition is organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and ROSIZO.

The competition, organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, will take place on the Joys.space platform, the first Russian NFT marketplace. SPIEF 2022 participants registering on the platform will receive a unique NFT dedicated to the anniversary Forum. On the platform, it is possible to buy and sell art, build collections and take part in auctions. Joys can be used by those who already have a crypto wallet, as well as newcomers. The platform does all the blockchain transactions for them. The key aspect is that settlements can be made in rubles, including by means of a quick payment system. All transactions are based on the international Ethereum NFT platform.
