Tribute concert for medics and volunteers was held at Palace Square

On 3 June, the traditional concert of the St. Petersburg Economic Forum took place at Palace Square. The tribute concert for medics and volunteers became part of the SPIEF’s Petersburg Seasons festival.

This event for residents, city guests and Forum participants was organized by the Government of St. Petersburg with the support of the Roscongress Foundation. The first performance was by Teatro Petruzzelli Symphony Orchestra (Bari, Italy), and the second one – by Diana Arbenina and the Night Snipers band.

“We had prepared a unique programme for Palace Square, especially in terms of lighting: we brought a large team of specialists, and this concert will never be repeated anywhere else. I am a 100% St. Petersburg musician, I lived here for over 10 years, our group was born here, and every time I return to this city I feel at home. For me, this is the most important city in the world, and I am very glad that the songs that this city gave me and that were born here are now loved by the whole world,” commented Diana Arbenina.

The joint performance of Italian and Russian artists was another symbol of friendship between our countries. The cooperation between Italy and Russia, mutual assistance and knowledge sharing have significantly contributed to the global fight against COVID-19.

The concert has become the central event of the SPIEF’s Petersburg Seasons festival that brings together events of the cultural programme of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The event was held in strict accordance with the rules of Rospotrebnadzor.
