The Novosibirsk Region to present park projects and a tourism complex at SPIEF 2016

The delegation from the Novosibirsk Regionis to present at the 20th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum park projects being implemented in the Region and its own tourist and recreational potential, TASS announced at the Region’s Ministry of Economic Development.

“Within the scope of the Forum, it is planned for the Novosibirsk Region to take part on the stand of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia, where the presentation materials will cover park projects: Industrial Logistics Park (ILP), Academpark, biotechnologypark in the Koltsovoscience city, and Medtechnopark of theNovosibirsk Region, as well as the tourist and recreational complex of theNovosibirsk Region, projects for public-private partnership and promising spheres for investment,’ the department announced.

The Region’s delegation toSPIEFwill be headed by its GovernorVladimir Gorodestsky and will include FirstDeputy Governor Vladimir Znatkov and Minister ofEconomic Development Olga Molchanova.

At the Ministry ofEconomic Development, they reminded us that, in 2015, within the scope of the Forum, the Novosibirsk Region and the Republic of Bashkortostan concluded an agreement of trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural cooperation.

Noagreementsonimplementationofinvestmentprojectsinthe Novosibirsk Region had previously been signed atSPIEF and it is not planned to sign any this year, the department stressed.

Academpark in Novosibirsk started functioning in 2006. So far, it has over 300 high-tech resident companies, more than 179 of which are located immediately on the Academgorodok site. These companies employ a total of over 8.8 thousand people. Theresidentsaccountfor 2.2% of the Gross Regional Product of theNovosibirsk Regionand 3% of exports produced in the Region. All the indicators of the relevant federal target programme have been fulfilled by Academpark and it has been recognized as the most successful such project in Russia.

Construction of the biotechnology park in the Koltsovoscience city was launched in the autumn of 2011 and it is presumed that pharmaceutical and biotech production units will occupy the territory of 130 ha. Four companies are currently resident.

The ILP project in the vicinity of Novosibirsk has been under development since 2007. The ILP site currently covers about 2,000 ha, on which 20 residents operate.
