SPIEF 2018: FIAC members invited to participate in Forum

On October 16, 2017, the Foreign Investment Advisory Council (FIAC) held a business breakfast, which was attended by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Igor Shuvalov and Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin.

The Foreign Investment Advisory Council (FIAC) has been active since 1994, and brings together 54 major companies from 18 foreign nations. The main role of the Council is to assist in the establishment and development of a favourable investment climate, using its combined global experience together with the international companies’ experience of operating in Russia.

On the sidelines of the event, FIAC members were invited to the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2018, which will take place in St. Petersburg on May 24–26.

Members of the Foreign Investment Advisory Council have traditionally been actively involved with SPIEF.

A cooperation agreement was signed in 2016 between a working group on the image of the Foreign Investment Advisory Council and the Roscongress Foundation. The parties agreed to collaborate on attracting foreign investors, informing the business community about existing state support tools, and organizing joint regional and international events.
