St. Petersburg Will Celebrate Its 315th Anniversary Together with SPIEF 2018

St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2018 falls on the days when St. Petersburg will be celebrating its 315th anniversary with a number of citywide events.

Citizens and guests of the city will be able to attend the Annual Ice Cream Festival, a gala concert ‘Classics on Dvortsovaya’ on the Palace Square, the Great Bicycle Parade, and the 4th St. Petersburg Nationalities Ball as part of the City Day.

SPIEF participants will also be able to enjoy the holiday, as most of the festive events will be held as part of the Forum’s cultural programme. So, for example, on 26 May the 4th St. Petersburg International Retro Urban Transport Parade will take place, and in the evening the Forum guests will be able to enjoy the light and music show ‘Singing Bridges’. On 24–26 May the largest International Festival of Circus Art will be held in St. Petersburg, and on 27 May SPIEF participants can attend the Festival’s Carnival. Famous circus performers and animals, including remarkable circus elephants, will walk Nevsky Prospect, the main street of the city. Brass Bands and Drummers will walk their parade on 27 May 2018. Classic festive fireworks from the banks of the Neva River over the historical centre of the Northern Capital will crown the cultural programme of the Forum and the city’s birthday celebration.
