SPIEF 2023: Istanbul received a delegation of the Roscongress Foundation

Alexey Valkov, Director of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, invites representatives of the Turkish business community to Russia

Recognized as one of the world’s largest and most important business events, the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will bring together key economic players for the 26th time on 14–17 June 2023. Ahead of the Forum, which is a platform to discuss global and economic changes, explore emerging markets and new opportunities, a business event was held in Istanbul with representatives of the Turkish business community.

During the meeting, presentations were made by SPIEF Director Alexey Valkov, Professor Ahmet Qasim Khan and IC Holding CEO Murad Bayar, discussing Turkish-Russian economic relations, strategic cooperation, and investment opportunities

Today, diplomatic and trade relations between Turkey and Russia reflect a long-standing friendship that persists despite current political circumstances. Especially noteworthy is the economic potential of Turkish-Russian relations, which represents significant commercial opportunities in the market,” said Professor Ahmet Qasim Khan

Alexey Valkov said that SPIEF is an effective launching pad for businesses seeking to develop in Russia. Valkov emphasized that within the Forum each participant will be able to meet with representatives of federal ministries, regional authorities and industries, and added that the most favourable conditions with a wide range of business development opportunities have been created for all participants. The Forum is designed to develop mutually beneficial partnerships and create sustainable connections with potential business partners. SPIEF is waiting for you with its vast experience and expertise in creating an atmosphere of networking and the necessary conditions to close profitable deals, said Alexey Valkov.

According to Murad Bayar, CEO of IC Holding, Russia represents a critical and long-term market for the company. Bayar noted that IC Holding has repeatedly participated in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and emphasized the IC Holding’s longstanding and strong ties with Russia, which are further strengthened through the company’s role as the main contractor for the Akkuyu nuclear power plant. In addition, Bayar noted that IC Holding is currently negotiating infrastructure investments in the region.
