Winners of #WEARETOGETHER Prize to Take Part in SPIEF Youth Day 2024

All the winners of the #WEARETOGETHER international prize will receive commemorative diplomas with invitations to take part in the Youth Day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), which will take place on 8 June 2024. The awards ceremony took place as part of the #WEARETOGETHER International Forum of Civil Participation during the International RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH in Moscow.

The #WEARETOGETHER prize is an extension of the #WEARETOGETHER mutual assistance campaign and a nationwide platform that helps to identify, promote, and encourage leaders of socially significant initiatives that aim to help people and improve the quality of life in Russia and around the world. The Roscongress Foundation is a partner of the prize.

On Volunteer Day, which Russia celebrates on 5 December, Roscongress Foundation Chairman of the Board and CEO Alexander Stuglev noted the importance of the activities of volunteers and their contribution to society. Particular attention was paid to the winners of the #WEARETOGETHER international prize, who received awards as part of the International Forum of Civil Participation.

“Participation in the Youth Day of the key congress, exhibition, and business platform in Russia will enable the winners of the #WEARETOGETHER prize to not only talk about their success stories, projects, and ideas, but to also take full part in the SPIEF business programme, meet with government officials, businessmen, and leaders of major companies and corporations, and engage in an in-person dialogue with them. I firmly believe that for young people this is the best start and a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the business environment and its atmosphere. The young people who won the #WEARETOGETHER prizes absolutely deserve to be and should be at the SPIEF. Their work and their initiatives are the best demonstration that anything is possible,” Stuglev said.

Special QR codes from the Roscongress Foundation’s augmented reality service MARMA are integrated into the diplomas that were awarded to the prize winners. The code can be used to find out detailed information about the activities of the Foundation and its social initiatives.

One of these projects – ‘School Friend’ – will be presented by its author and coordinator Ilya Gulidin, who will take part in the trend session ‘Volunteering: A Method to Raise a Harmoniously Developed Personality’ on 6 December. During the session, he will talk about the Foundation’s social project to promote the socialization and adaptation of children and adolescents who find themselves in difficult life situations by integrating them into the cultural environment and creating additional educational opportunities.

The #WEARETOGETHER International Forum of Civil Participation is being held in Moscow on 4–8 December. The business programme includes panel sessions, strategic sessions, discussions, and master classes with more than 150 speakers – opinion leaders, heads of non-commercial and volunteer organizations, and representatives of commercial companies and the media.

The #WEARETOGETHER International Forum of Civil Participation is the main event in volunteering and social leadership. In 2023, the Forum has become part of the International RUSSIA EXPO, a major platform that presents the country’s main achievements, technological developments, scientific discoveries, and key successes in the industrial, social, sports, and cultural sectors. The forum will provide an opportunity to link all the achievements of the regions, companies, and communities with their contribution to the overall success of volunteering and public leadership.
