Results of crowdsourcing themes for SPIEF 2024

The work on collecting themes for the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2024 via the crowdfunding platform ideas.roscongress.org has been summarized. Nearly 3,000 users of the crowdsourcing platform responded to the invitation to participate, with 1,047 of them submitting themes. In total, over 2,000 themes were proposed for possible discussion at the upcoming Forum, accompanied by thousands of comments from participants.

Thanks to the participants’ initiative, the Roscongress Foundation was able to identify public perspectives on issues and determine priority themes for discussions. The study and analysis of the published proposals highlighted the main thematic groups that interest participants. The most popular thematic groups are:

      Government and Society: Interaction between government bodies and the population, effective state and municipal management – 245 themes

      Medicine, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, and Healthy Lifestyle: Quality and accessible medical care, disease prevention, and promotion of a healthy lifestyle – 178 themes

      Sports, Culture, Leisure, Tourism, and Creative Industries: Development of creative industries, culture, sports, and corresponding infrastructure, quality leisure, and domestic tourism – 167 themes

      Quality of Life and Social Policy: Improving quality of life, combating poverty, and supporting socially vulnerable groups – 162 themes

      New Technologies, Innovations, Science, and Inventions: Innovations in all fields of science and technology, development of promising digital technologies, and support for inventiveness – 161 themes

Additionally, the names of 25 authors of the most sought-after proposals have been identified. They will receive invitations to the in-person part of SPIEF 2024 and will be able to participate directly in the Forum. The invited participants are: Vladislav Lagoyda, Nikita Naumov, Andrey Bednyakov, Ekaterina Afanasyeva, Anna Petrovskaya, Sergey Kosogor, Anastasia Malysheva, Sergey Kudinov, Oleg Volkov, Sergey Nikolaev, Yulia Morozova, Olesya Turko, Alexander Khorkov, Alexandra Dranitsina, Renat Khasanov, Krapivchenko, Nikolay Martynov, Liza Mayer-Marakhovska, Rinat Abdyukhanov, Sergey Chernyshev, Ruslan Abdullin, Dmitry Kaltachenko, Alexander Paramonov, Nadir Sivov, and Ekaterina Medvedeva.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will be held on 5–8 June at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre.
