On the road to SPIEF: offsite session in South Africa finishes
On 27 March, The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum’s offsite session in Johannesburg has ended. The event was attended by more than 100 representatives of government authorities, major South African businesses and the media. The event began with a minute of silence in memory of those who died at the Crocus City Hall near Moscow.

On 27 March, Johannesburg will host a field session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2024. The main theme is “SPIEF 2024: Developing Business Cooperation between Russia and South Africa”.

MIIGAiK, Roscosmos and Roscongress implement a Time Capsule on the ISS
Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK), Roscosmos State Corporation and the Innovation Space platform of the Roscongress Foundation launched joint projects dedicated to the 245th anniversary of the University foundation. The first of them was the Time Capsule – a message from MIIGAiK students, which was sent on board the International Space Station (ISS) on the Soyuz MS-25 transport spacecraft.

On 8 June, the eighth traditional show jumping tournament SPIEF Cup 2024 will be held at the international equestrian exhibition Hipposphere 2024. The event will traditionally be held as part of the sports programme of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Moscow discussed promoting the potential of the Republic of Kalmykia for its development
A meeting between Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, and Batu Khasikov, Head of the Republic of Kalmykia, was held in Moscow to discuss the implementation of a number of key projects and programmes designed to create a long-term basis for the structural development of the economy of the Republic of Kalmykia and the Caspian region.

The first regatta dedicated to outstanding people in sailing to be held as part of SPIEF 2024
A regatta named after Igor Chentsov, Chairman of the Presidium and First Vice President of the Russian Yachting Federation, has been included in the sports programme of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and will be held from 30 May to 2 June 2024.
