Russia, Italy may sign contracts on several agricultural projects at SPIEF

Russia currently has a preliminary response from its Italian partners on a number of projects, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Arkady Dvorkovich said.

Russia and Italy may sign contracts on a number of agricultural projects at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Arkady Dvorkovich said.

“We have agreed to jointly implement a significant number – dozens – of projects in agriculture in Russia. Today we already have a preliminary response from our Italian partners on a number of projects and we think that we will manage to sign contracts on a few of them at the SPIEF. The emphasis is on the North Caucasus regions, where there are similar farming conditions and a dry climate, and we will be able to learn a lot from our Italian partners who are prepared to enter this region,” Arkady Dvorkovich said at a press conference following a meeting with Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Paolo Gentiloni.
