Roscongress Foundation continues the series of SPIEF 2024 visiting events
Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore will host events under the aegis of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2024. The events will be attended by representatives of such sectors of the Indian economy as agroindustry and pharmaceuticals, chemicals and food processing, logistics, telecommunications and energy. The meetings will take place from 11 to 14 December 2023.
The theme of the events in Delhi and Bangalore will be ‘SPIEF 2024: The First Step Towards Business Development in Russia’. As part of the meeting agenda, Alexey Valkov, Deputy CEO of the Roscongress Foundation and SPIEF Director, will make a presentation on the Forum’s communication opportunities and discuss with participants the practical efficiency of Indian brands of local agrochemical, logistics, telecommunications and retail businesses entering the Russian market.
“Russian-Indian cooperation is steadily developing and this dynamic needs to be maintained. During 2023, thanks to joint efforts, we also held the Russian-Indian Business Forum in Delhi and its logical continuation was a similar format within the framework of the SPIEF 2023 opening day, which resulted in signings with the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Forum (MSME Development Forum), the Indian Chamber of International Business (ICIB), the National Coordination and Investment Promotion Agency of India (Invest India) and the Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI). In my opinion, the readiness to comprehensively support and facilitate the organization of new formats of interaction is an indicator of interest in dialogue and an opportunity to open new points of growth between our countries,” said Alexey Valkov.
The ‘SPIEF 2024: Business Cooperation for a Better Quality of Life’ retreat will be held on 13 December in Mumbai. Participants will discuss the role of the financial, industrial and humanitarian sectors in the process of innovative development of society and improvement of the quality of life. As part of the business programme, representatives of Russian government authorities, Russian and Indian businesses, as well as business and industry associations and media representatives are invited to the event.
“For many years, business cooperation between our countries has been based on large state-owned companies and enterprises. It was they who laid the foundations of many industries, scientific and technological base of India. However, medium-sized and technology companies in Russia are now coming to the fore, as they understand the prospects of setting up their local production facilities in India, are ready to develop their business here and invest in the Indian economy. Events such as SPIEF give businesses an opportunity to familiarise themselves with market conditions, discuss plans and build an effective strategy,” said Manpreet Singh, president of the Indian Chamber of International Business.
The 27th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will take place on 5–8 June 2024.
