Russia – Bahrain: bilateral relations in a positive way
A meeting has been held in Moscow between Anton
Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, and Ahmed
Al-Saati, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary
to the Russian Federation
“The development of
partnership relations is always a priority for Russia, including with the Gulf
countries. Our states are committed to developing new projects, especially in
the field of trade. The volume of trade is increasing steadily. There are
prospects for cooperation in all sectors, as Bahrain has created excellent
conditions for business and investment activities in various areas. I am confident that the
delegation’s participation in REW 2023 and SPIEF 2024 will create additional incentives for the
development of multi-format cooperation between our countries,” Anton Kobyakov noted.
The parties also
discussed the implementation of joint projects not only relating to the Forum
but also pertaining to the protection of endangered species – specifically,
support for the Kamchatka Falcon Centre and accession to the declaration of
intent to preserve the gyrfalcon population, which was signed at EEF 2023
between Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and the UAE.
“The Kingdom of
Bahrain’s participation in Roscongress Foundation events contributes to the
establishment of strategic relations between our states, and also builds on the
business ties between our countries’ commercial structures. Mutually beneficial
projects provide an opportunity not only to consolidate our friendly relations,
but also to create a unique international business community,” Ahmed Al-Saati stressed.
The meeting also raised issues of the St.
Petersburg International Economic Forum’s visit to Manama in January 2024 and the holding of a Russian multi-industry
exhibition in Bahrain with the support of the Russian Export Centre and the
Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
