Russian IT Association RUSSOFT and Indian IT Association RISING signed a cooperation agreement

RUSSOFT, Russian association of software developers, and Technological Sovereignty Exports Association (Russia) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Russia India Special Interest Group (RISING) on March 29, 2023 in New Delhi in order to develop bilateral relations between India and Russia in the IT sector.

On this Memorandum, RUSSOFT will become the leading IT industry organization in Russia to promote cooperation with India in the development and production of IT solutions, employment and human capital growth. RUSSOFT will also advise Russian government institutions on regulating Russia-India IT relations, to contribute to bilateral trade, hold industry events and research activities.

The memorandum will be signed in New Delhi at the India-Russia Business Forum: «Strategic partnership for development and growth», where participants discuss an action plan for encouraging more bilateral trade and investment in the IT sector - solutions for such spheres as Smart City, healthcare, digital transformation of the transport industry.

During the forum, on March 29, RUSSOFT also held a session «Digitalization in Industry and Microprocessors Invention for the New Wave of Tech Innovation» moderated by Valentin Makarov, President of RUSSOFT, and Ivan Pokrovsky, Executive Director of Electronics Developers and Manufacturers Association (EDMA). Session speakers are the heads of Russian and Indian ministries, IT companies and large corporations, as well as IT associations of the two countries. They discussed how India and Russia can ensure technological sovereignty and how companies from both countries will develop joint products and platforms, and what should be done to improve optimally the collaborative work of Russia and India in digitalization of the economy and social life of the two countries.

RUSSOFT's participation in the forum toook place as part of the business mission of Russian technology companies to India, organized by RUSSOFT and EDMA, March 27-30, 2023. The purpose of the trip was to establish strong relationships through meetings of Russian software companies, as well as electronics developers with Indian potential partners.

Lately, thanks to the active position of the country's leadership, India has become one of the fastest growing and most attractive markets for IT solutions in recent years. And after the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions by Western countries, it became clear that cooperation between Russia and India, as a strategic partner of our country, can provide both countries a place among the technological leaders of BRICS countries.
