InvestRus International Conference in Moscow to host SPIEF session on ‘Russia’s regions: new areas of growth’

On April 15, 2016, Moscow will host the fourth regional session in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) series entitled ‘Russia’s regions: new areas of growth’. The event is being jointly organized by the Roscongress Foundation and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, the Foreign Investment Advisory Council, the Russian Export Center, and auditing and consulting firm EY.

The session will focus on how to attract foreign investment into the Russian economy. Successfully meeting this challenge will ensure comprehensive growth in Russia’s regions, promote modernization, and drive the development of new technologies and the latest management approaches.

Event speakers will include Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Natalya Sergunina, Managing Director for Regional Development at the Russian Export Center Andrey Polyakov, EY Country Managing Partner for Russia Alexander Ivlev, Director of the Roscongress Foundation Alexander Stuglev, and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives Marina Korotaeva.

Participants in the ‘Russia’s regions: new areas of growth’ session will learn about the various packages available for the twentieth St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will be held on June 16–18, 2016. They will also have a chance to discuss how to identify and develop new investment opportunities and export projects in Russia.

“The regional SPIEF session in Moscow opens up far-reaching opportunities for promoting the Central Federal District’s economic and investment potential, as well as for building mutually beneficial relationships with investors and consumers of Russian products on the global market”, said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee.

Similar regional SPIEF sessions have previously been held in the Volga Federal District (Nizhny Novgorod), Ural Federal District (Yekaterinburg), and Southern Federal District (Krasnodar).
