SPIEF 2018 Published Extended Business Programme

The official website of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum hosts an extended version of the programme indicating speakers and moderators of the sessions who confirmed participation in the Forum. The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will take place on 24–26 May 2018. The slogan of the Forum is Creating the Economy of Trust.

Trust among countries, business partners, people’s trust in the state, in new technologies and in each other is what will empower them to overcome artificially imposed limitations in the world economy and politics and become a mighty boost for global economic growth. The economy of trust is only possible if the countries act based on trust and build relationships through creating incentives for the development of business and human capital by uniting and sharing best practices in applying the state-of-the-art technology not only in the economy, but also in charity and philanthropy.

Fifteen thousand guests from more than 140 counties are expected to participate in the Forum. France and Japan as guests of the SPIEF will have their own exhibition pavilions on site, which will house a presentation area and a business space for delegations’ representatives to interact with partners from other countries. Delegations from Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Greece, Italy, India, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Israel, Vietnam, USA, Canada, African countries and others will participate in the Forum.

More than 100 events of various formats are in the business programme of the SPIEF. Business sessions will be held in four themes: The Global Economy in the Era of Change, Harnessing Russia’s Growth Potential, Technology for Leadership and Human Capital in the Digital Economy. Among other formats – cross-border business dialogues, subject-matter business breakfasts, round tables, TV debates and foresight sessions.

Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Head of the SPIEF Programme Committee Anton Kobyakov noted: “Participants of the Forum can expect an eventful business programme where everyone can be involved in the events of the most convenient and attractive format. By combining so many different events on the site, we are striving to create an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual understanding. This matches perfectly with the Forum’s mission – creation the economy of trust”.
