SPIEF 2023 Healthy Life Area Releases Business Programme

The business programme of the Roscongress Foundation’s Healthy Life project, which will be held on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on 14–17 June 2023, has been released on the project’s official website.

“The business programme of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum traditionally devotes extensive attention to the development of healthcare and ways to improve people’s quality of life and life expectancy. The discussions will be attended by leading experts in healthcare, public figures, and representatives of non-profit organizations. The wide range of opinions and views presented dictates the key practical significance of the event,” Advisor to the Russian President Anton Kobyakov said.

The events of the Healthy Life project will take place in the halls of the Forum’s business programme as well as in the Healthy Life Area. The business programme sessions are consistent with the current needs of the government and society in terms of the sustainable development of the healthcare system, its adaptation to new challenges and threats, the introduction of innovations and advanced medical technologies, the role of healthcare as the main strategic resource for the country’s economic growth, and the promotion of the ideas and values of a healthy lifestyle.

The Healthy Life project organizes several expert discussions on healthcare as part of the SPIEF’s main business programme, including: ‘Health Development as a Factor of Economic Growth’, ‘Biomedical Science as a Key Factor in Achieving National Security’, and ‘Russia – Middle East: Strategic Cooperation on Health’, among others.

The business programme of the Healthy Life Area will provide experts with an opportunity to discuss children’s health as a priority of national policy, digital technologies to serve primary healthcare as a factor in preserving people’s health, investments in high-tech biotech, and systemic projects in healthcare and social support, among other issues.

The expert discussions are being organized with the support of the Russian Federal Medical-Biological Agency, the Russian Research Institute of Health of the Russian Ministry of Health, the Centre for Healthcare Quality Assessment and Control of the Russian Ministry of Health, the Institute of Healthcare Leadership and Management at Sechenov University, the Right Direction autonomous non-commercial organization, and other organizations.

In addition, the projects of the finalists and winners of a competition held by the Women for a Healthy Society will be presented on the sidelines of the SPIEF.

The Healthy Life project is a specialized platform for interaction between government officials and expert communities in order to exchange best innovative practices, discuss targets, global trends, and prospects for the development of the healthcare system, and come up with practical proposals that aim to build a healthy society.
