The Latest of SPIEF 2019: Business Programme Blocks, Thematic Areas and Navigation in Chinese
This year the Roscongress Foundation strives to exceed expectations of participants and guests St. Petersburg International Economic Forum introducing new services and expanding the business programme with new formats. The Forum becomes even more ergonomic and participant-friendly.
In particular, this year the Forum introduces navigation in Chinese. The delegation from China as a guest country has over a thousand participants making it one of the largest delegations to the Forum. The site will feature ten navigation banners in Chinese.
This year the Forum offers even more business sessions and roundtables halls, doubles the number of partners’ meeting rooms, and provides even more mobile device charging stations.
Last year alone, the Roscongress Foundation broke new grounds of the social agenda and the development of innovations, and SPIEF is the primary platform for these areas to receive special consideration.
This year, the Innovation Space and the Innosocium LAB projects are aligning into an integrated Building Trust Thematical Space. Its programme includes innovation and social agenda events. The Innosocium LAB’s objective is the integration of the social agenda into the most significant business forums. This communication platform brings together non-profit organizations, business and government to discuss current issues of social development. The Innovation Space project, launched in 2018, is the area for all high-tech companies that offer innovative solutions. The project includes start-ups pitch sessions, presentations of versatile technological solutions, and roundtables with regional representatives, digital technology case studies, and much more.
Since 2019, healthcare and education is a full-fledged pillar of all Roscongress business forums. ‘Healthy Life’ Area is a first-timer at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. It is a specialized platform for discussing critical issues of improving the quality and increasing the life expectancy of the population.
This year, the exhibition SPIEF Investment & Business Expo is stepping up significantly. The number of partners and exhibitors' stands has increased. For the first time, the exhibition space of the Forum expanded to the Open Passage. Two representatives of Saudi Arabia are this year’s new SPIEF General Partners – Saudi Aramco and SABIC.
The Roscongress Foundation Information and Analytical System launched in 2018. It accumulates the Forum’s key topics and is an interactive knowledge base, which today includes a description of more than 1,500 sessions on 173 topics on the country's development agenda and facilitates monitoring of the current global economic trends and the latest news. The information and analytical system portal features speeches, interviews and comments of more than 6,000 speakers.
In addition to the unique business programme, participants are welcome to participate in the SPIEF Festival of Culture, which attracts art connoisseurs from around the world to the city of St. Petersburg. On the Forum days, major theatres, museums, and exhibition spaces are preparing special events, and internationally recognized artists are to arrive in the city.
