Transport minister invites Greek delegation to SPIEF 2019

On 6 December the 11th session of the Joint Russian-Greek Commission on Economic, Industrial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation took place in Moscow. The Russian delegation was led by Yevgeny Ditrikh, Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation.

Among the topics under discussion were current issues affecting bilateral economic ties, as well as trends and prospects for developing relations. Those present highlighted the significant increase in trade turnover between Russia and Greece, and expressed their willingness to further encourage and boost mutual investment, and strengthen cooperation. 

“Today, economic progress is being driven by high-tech and innovations across various sectors. We see excellent prospects to broaden and improve bilateral ties in industries such as IT, aviation, shipbuilding, energy, green technology and renewable energy, logistics, automotive manufacturing, agriculture, construction, and infrastructure,” said Ditrikh.

The session concluded with the minister inviting the Greek delegation to the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will take place on 6–8 June 2019.
