Trianon Dialogue Discussions to Continue At SPIEF 2018

A panel session ‘City of The Future’ in the line of the Trianon Dialogue will be a part of the business programme of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2018. The Coordination Council of the Trianon Dialogue will hold it’s meeting in Moscow prior to the Forum. 

City of the Future panel session will focus on urban development. This is the central topic of the Trianon Dialogue in 2018 and it covers social, economic, transportation, ethno-political and environmental aspects of life in modern megacities, small towns and mono-industry towns. Processes in agglomerations will become a separate item on the agenda.

Heads of the regions of the Russian Federation, mayors of French cities, and international architects are invited to participate in the panel session. Head of EXPO 2025 Yekaterinburg Bid Committee Svetlana Sagaydak will make a presentation on urban issues.

“The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will be the essential part of the Trianon Dialogue in 2018. This initiative came from the highest level of government and aims to be present in all areas of Russian-French relations. The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron will attend the Forum”, said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser of the President of the Russian Federation.

On 29 May 2017 an agreement on setting up a new platform for bilateral interaction in the line of civil societies – the Trianon Dialogue Forum – was reached in the course of the negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and French President Emmanuel Macron in Versailles.

The Coordination Council, which is meant to lay out principal directions and consists of sixteen reputable representatives of different Russian and French societies, is the supreme body of the Trianon Dialogue.
