Time of Heroes programme participants to attend SPIEF 2025
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, scheduled for 18 to 21 June 2025, will be attended by the first group of participants in the Time of Heroes programme. As the country celebrates the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, its most important business platform will honour veterans of the special military operation, some of whom have already returned to civilian life, for their courage and devotion to their homeland.
The Time of Heroes programme is the result of an initiative started by the Russian president and implemented by the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration at the Senezh Management Workshop. The programme seeks to train veterans of the special military operation to take up positions as qualified, competent managers in state and municipal authorities, state-owned companies, and development institutions.
Programme participants receive training in modern management methods and technologies and learn leadership and teamwork skills while being mentored by officials from the Presidential Administration, federal ministries and agencies, regions, and the managers of major Russian companies.
Adviser to the Russian President and Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov underlined the significance of having of new heroes participate in the Forum:
“Now more than ever it is important that we talk about patriotism as an action and not just a feeling. The Time of Heroes programme finds patriotism in the concrete actions of serving, saving, helping, and creating. The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is a particularly meaningful place to display these examples. We are so happy to welcome our fellow countrymen who are a part of the first group of programme participants to the Forum.”
Programme participants invited to SPIEF 2025 include servicemen and volunteers, some of whom have already taken up new positions in the federal and regional authorities, state corporations, and in the patriotic education of youth.
The Roscongress Foundation has traditionally supported initiatives developing human capital, shaping a new generation of leaders, and including socially significant content in major business events. Participants of the Time of Heroes programme will make an important contribution to the nature of SPIEF 2025 as a communication platform.
