Abu Dhabi to Host SPIEF 2023 Offsite Session
An offsite session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2023 will be held on 8 May on the sidelines of the major investment forum AIM Congress 2023 in Abu Dhabi.
The theme of the discussion is ‘Russia and the Middle East: Cooperation for Economic Growth and People’s Well-being’, during which representatives of Russian and UAE ministries and agencies will discuss some of the main trends in trade as well as economic and business relations between the countries.
“Russia and the United Arab Emirates traditionally maintain a stable dialogue on a wide range of issues. It is crucial for us not only to preserve, but also to expand the areas where our interests intersect. The format of offsite sessions is always very effective. The event provides an opportunity to learn about the most advantageous areas for investment and specific aspects of doing business in the country,” Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the SPIEF 2023 Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov said.
Expanding cooperation creates a favourable investment climate and opportunities for business, localizing production, and implementing major joint projects. Russia and the countries of the Middle East are currently intensifying their cooperation in a wide range of areas, including investment, the development of high-tech sectors of the economy, urban planning, healthcare, and the social and cultural sectors.
“In addition, in an effort to promote the opening of the UAE market for entrepreneurs, Synergy Business School, together with the Roscongress Foundation’s Roscongress International project, will organize a business mission to the UAE on 8–13 May, during which participants will visit two of the world’s largest business centres: Dubai and Abu Dhabi”, Roscongress Foundation Chairman of the Board and CEO Alexander Stuglev said.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will take place on 14–17 June 2023 at the Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Centre in St. Petersburg.
